I found the valet parking suitable for my needs. The attendant was cheerful and attentive. The staff at the breakfast restaurant were particularly welcoming. Checkout was a lenghty process. A number of other guests were behind me and they had to wait too long. The receptionist declined an offer of help. I think another person at reception would have given a faster service. |

Location was excellent for the Vectra Arena and shopping. The Vertigo Resturant was very nice. Faulty sink in the bathroom which should have been noted by the cleaners and dealt with before we found the problem. |

Staff was really helpfull. Beds were super! Room was ok, bathroom was old fashion. Don't expect that when you book a luxurious room. Showers were to low! |

The room was clean and roomy. Room service was prompt and tasty. The hotel is conveniently located and the staff are polite and helpful. This was my first experience with running water where the cold started out very warm and became cooler. Plenty of hot water from both taps! |

The room was quiet and very clean and the staff were really helpful and in a central location. We have young kids so them having 2 double beds in one room was great for us. The food was great to. No complaints at all. |

What I liked most about the Mercure was that it was very central (to both night life and the harbour). I have read reports about how loud it is in the Mercure but, fortunately, I didn't find it noisy (and I'm a light sleeper). I would have preferred fresh fruit for breakfast (instead of tinned). |

Located at the base of Queen street the hotel was well locared to explore Auckland on foot. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking and acess was difficult to us not used to congested streets but the staff were accomadting about the valet service |

The hotel was convenient for all amenities. The breakfast was good and the breakfast room lovely. The charges for car parking were rather high, but as there was difficulty parking outwith the hotel, you were rather forced to pay this. |

This hotel is a very good value basic hotel with a very good location in downtown Auckland. Staff are very friendly but help with bags is sometimes a bit too casual. The fact that they had absolutely no record of my booking and that they reacted to this fact in a very casual manner....as though the problem could have nothing to do with them...and that I shouldn't get concerned because thay had a room for me anyway. They did not seem to understand that there would have been a big problem if they had been full! |
