I loved the design of the rooms and the privacy we had. It was very comfortable and relaxing; very quiet as well.

Secluded, quiet location but just a short distance from the town with its extensive facilities. Helpful advice on the area. Hot tub and spring water swimming pool.

The welcome beer was a nice touch and good way to end the day. Very clean and tidy with high end decor. The park like location was really relaxing while still being able to walk to town.

When we arrived at Avalon Resort we were greated by the friendly helpfull host Willem, who also welcomed us with a complementry welcome drink for my husband and myself. This was just lovely as we settled into our villa and admired the scenery. Our stay was just perfect! I would have no hesertation in recommending Avolon Resort to anyone wanting to stay in KeriKeri or wheather it be for one night or long term visit.

I did a lot of research before choosing Avalon. I really wanted something special for New Years Eve as soon as I saw the pics etc for Avalon, I thought, yes this is what I am looking for. It did not disappoint, I have stayed at a lot of Hotels in the last few years, many in Melbourne and in Cairns, overall this was by far the best and such a beautiful unique experience. To see what Willem has created is amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to any one. The location was fantastic, with a handful of little shops at the end of the drive, you could laze around the pool all day, having the barbeque on the deck was fantastic too. Willem has thought of everything.

Lovely stay - loved the cottage we stayed in, very comfortable, with a large and private deck overlooking tropical gardens. Also loved all the animals - chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, dogs - to say hello to if you want. Willem was the perfect host and the atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing.

Amazing place to stay. Owner was very friendly and made you feel instantly at home. The resort is very close to the center of Kerikeri but hidden behind trees so also feels like a hidden paradise. Beautiful scenery, feels a lot like Bali and they keep chickens, ducks and dogs. Amazing stay, can't wait to go back. Would recommend very highly

Top quality accommodation

Idyllic location, set in a beautiful valley full of native species and wildlife. Wake up to chorus of bird song. Pet ducks and hen visit each morning and the two black pet dogs make great company when you are sat out on the verandah. Gorgeous rooms, fully equipped for self catering. Wonderfully comfy bed with scrumptious linen. Powerful hot shower and lovely towels. Hot tub with lots of bubbles to use at any time. Masseur on hand to ease any aches and pains. Lots of books and a vast library of DVDs to borrow during your stay. Wonderful hosts who are always on hand to help and answer any questions. I booked for one night but stayed for three! It is a real oasis and highly recommended.

The location and surroundings so close to town. Quiet, rural, serene.

Road in a bit bumpy.

Avalon Resort's location was ideal. Each self-contained unit had privacy but with wonderful views of rolling hills, beautiful gardens with a pond and stream complete with ducks and hens which visited you each morning. The unit was extremely clean and comfortable. It was close to Keri Keri shopping centre and a bakery and cafe were just a stroll up the driveway. Our host ensured we had everthing we needed. Having breakfast on the the deck with the morning sun streaming in and with the sound of the stream below set you up for the day. Of all the places we have stayed at we rate Avalon one of the best.

Es hat alles gepasst sehr gut

Prachtig huisje in een prachtige omgeving. Rustig gelegen en toch vlak bij Kerikeri.

Heerlijk ontspannen verblijf, mooie accommodatie. Genoeg te doen in omgeving.

Location, quietness and grounds

How secluded it felt... the tone of the rooms were brilliant and very comforting

The deck with table and chairs outside was lovely. And the place is very peaceful. Liked the dvd library.

We stayed in one of the studios, and I think we would have enjoyed it a lot more in summer as the studio was freezing, and there was just one small, inadequate heater. Additionally, although it has a kitchenette, this is minute. It includes a fridge, microwave and sink. There are also hotplates which can be plugged in, but if one was to do that, there would be no worktop left. We borrowed a dvd, but the chairs in the room were not exactly comfortable to sit in while watching it! Also it was much further from the centre of town than we had expected because the place has an extremely long driveway. So even when you see a sign saying Avalon 50m, it is actually considerably further to the studios in particular.

Stylish interior design.

I liked absolutely everything at the Avalon Resort! From the ever friendly and helpful owner Willem to the outstanding location or the attention to detail and cleanliness which shows in the rooms. A superb place to stay and one of the most memorable accommodations I have ever been to. Can't praise it enough!

There was nothing I did not like!
