Clean and warm facilities, close to town but still nice and quiet. Great customer service.

Nothing to say ,a great experience

Penny (owner I think) was so friendly and helpful, and provided us with great advice on the best things to do and see.

The main road is a bit noisy at night with the trucks going thru - but I guess yo have to expect that on a main route

Josh and Penny, the hosts, were extremely helpful and welcoming. Great room with comfy bed and all cooking facilities you could need. BBQ available for our use. Free wifi.

The manageress was extremely helpful when we decided to move on earlier than expected after the cancellation of our planned whale-watching trip and went out of her way to help us find accommodation at our next port-of-call.

If there was any downside it was a lack of privacy through having the walkway outside the bedroom window.

Very steep walk from beach and West end shops to motel

My wife went to school in Kaikoura in the 1960s so it was great for her to see old familiar places

The view was only matched by the magnificent staff. They were very friendly and very happy to assist. My aunty was in a separate room to us and got sun burnt on her face, the owners of Bella Vista said that she had some cream that she could use, instead of holding us up for dinner she told us to go on and she would find it and put it in my auntie’s room. How’s that for service.

Unfortunately, we could not stay there longer.

The owner were very nice and gave us all help we needed. Its a familier motel with a good atmosphere.

Bella Vista is a great place to stay. We stayed for two nights in a studio apartment. The rooms are spacious and very clean and are well equiped with everything you need. The shower has great water pressure. As for the owners, what can one say. Penny was very welcoming and was more than willing to help us with everything we asked or needed. With only a five minute walk into town it is in a great location. We will definitly be going back.

The management, Penny and Josh went out of their way to help us and make our stay confortable and could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The hotel was also spotlessly clean and impeccably maintained.

Probably the best motel we stayed in in New Zealand. Great staff who made our stay a joy. We bbq-ed, got extra cutlery for our friends, a sunscreen and ofcourse the car of our friends good stay the night. Thank you! Good room, free wifi, roomy carpark. Kitchen depends on room.
