Great Motel, easy to find, nice room and excellent facilities. Plus friendly, helpful management. Very clean room. Impressed the only way they could improve would be to take their guests to the room and explain all the facilities there. Unfortunately the location of this Motel is right on a busy highway with all the through traffic driving right past the main entrance. The night we stayed there the road was being re-surfaced so all night long was the sound of beep beep beep when the machines were reversing, plus diesel motors!! I am sure on most occasions this would not be an issue. We were most impressed with the facilities here & the managers were excellent & most helpful. Would recommend anyone wanting a nice friendly place to stay plus central to everything that Whangarei has to offer. This was our first night in New Zealand, so most impressed with the hospitality shown.

Motel is brand new. Not too far from the centre. Motel is very close to the highway, noisy. With a king size bed the rooms are a little bit too small.

- The room was quite large - The beds are comfortable - The shower was very good - Everything was spotless - The hosts were friendly and welcoming - 27/8 degrees C at night - no air conditioning - fan available - traffic noise

The local taxi company is hopeless. We waited 45 minutes for a taxi and would have missed our flight if the motel owner hadn't taken us to the airport in his own car. You don't get this sort of service very often.

Very friendly, helpful and understanding owners who made us feel very welcome. The bname Bella Vista means Beautiful View so we were expecting a beautiful view and there was no view!
