in a nutshell see bullet points above, affordable location to grab a meal close by, good connection to air port bus, staff very friendly.
air freshener or cleaner scent too strong, bed side table not stable
Nice and close to shops .Room was tidy and adequate .
Room was a bit tried need a fresh coat of paint .
The wifi should be free for at least 2 hrs a day.
Saturday nights a bit noisy
Location and staff very friendly and helpful
Friendly obliging staff and a fab brekkie in the morning! Fast and efficient. Really good location
No opening window in bunkroom
Friendly, easy-going staff
Cheery staff. Great value for money. Easy walking distance of places of interest.
The young man on the front desk who promised faithfully to book our taxi to the airport and didn't! He was full of fun and banter but in the end totally useless.
very friendly staff willing to help with any query or bookings; beds very comfy; breakfast cooked very good value if you don't mind standing up to eat it;
no chairs just either very high stools or very low couch to sit on for a meal not good for family dining; breakfast cooked very good value; needs hooks in bathroom so no need to put clothes on floor to shower;
Everything was clean and comfortable.
Close to city. I could walk everywhere. Nicely renovated art deco building. Friendly, helpful staff.
music and noise from the bar downstairs hindered sleep on the Saturday night
The room was adequate with a single bed, small table and chair. The small basin was an advantage but the mirror above the basin slightly high to be of comfortable use. The towel was of generous size and thickness, (which makes a change for a lot of the hotels/motels I have been in).
The fridge in the room was rather noisy at times, generally noticeable in the late evening / early morning.
An unpretentious hotel with good facilities. Very handy to vibrant Courtenay Place. Comfortable and welcoming, a nice 'home away from home'.
I loved the staff, great location easy to find bussing from airport. Warm ckean rooms loved a big tv
Bed was a little uncomfortable.
Proximity to central city was good
Very noisy on the Friday night we stayed there (from the surrounding night life). We did not get much sleep.
location great, staff awesome, food nice,
the room was not that clean in the end found lighters and bed mattress could do with a clean, no proper cover the duvet inner only between two sheets, jug didn't turn off I didn't know and wasn't till the room was steaming up that I realised shit the jug still going fire hazard the bottom valet was stained yeah was a bit of a let down and I did pay $90 bucks which may be not a lot up I think its starting to get up there and the reception on the tv was really poor. so I don't want this taken in a bad moaning way it wasn't all bad but foe me a little details that make a big difference in my stay but thank you for making me feel so welcome
Friendly welcome Clean and comfortable room Well equipped shower and toilet Flat screen TV and good channel choice Easy stroll to more cafes, restaurants, clubs, bars, movies and entertainment than you could fit into a night.
Nothing - this is my favourite
Everything. Beautiful rooms, excellent facility, professional staff.
Looks like there are quite a lot of long-term guests hanging around in the kitchen. Could be in a situation with no seat for guests at night.
Location. Character building. Easy going nature of the place. Daily service of room.
Bathroom and shower floors are very slippery and dangerous
poor service no hot water, bunk bed wood slat fell down on my son
- The activities downstairs: games, events, bar. I actually chose this hotel because of the FUN activities that they ran throughout the week. - Good noise heard from the room: laughter & music. I don't mind this noise. - Single room under $65. - Most staff friendly and helpful in the hotel and TAB area. Would have been excellent if it wasn't for the bad service in the bar. - Good parking available.
- The jug in my room didn't work. - The loud running of the refrigerator (noise) disturbed my sleep throughout the night. - No plug near the top of the bed - had to sleep at the end of bed for access to phone while charging. - Bad TV reception on all channels. - Stood at the bar waiting to be served while the bartender walked around. When he finally served me, he looked disinterested and could have smiled.
Location close to city centre; ease of booking and friendly reception; clean and tidy room with excellent shower.
This visit coincided with a major storm in Wellington and the noise from rattling windows and shutters was pretty unsettling at times. Disrupted what otherwise would be a sound sleep.
The Location is good, close to most museums. The inceptionists r always helpful. The Wifi in the bar is for free.
The cleaning staff is too noisy. They started to wake u up at 10 on time. Also some people in the same room snore too much.
The staff is hospitable and the restaurant is good
Cleaning staff is too noisy. They appeared at 10am on time and just kept noisy all the time. The dining room is more like for ppl who rent a long term rooms cos it was full of boxes with different names on them.
The shower made the entire bathroom wet and the room was cold.
