CLEANESS AND LOCATION
Clean, tidy and well groomed rooms, excellent staff and easy access to Wellington CBD.
Location was great for shopping. Room was very nice and clean.
Indifferent staff,No help with luggage, cheap decor in rooms, bland atmosphere, expensive, paid wifi, altogether an unpleasant stay.
Location, lift access to Lambton Quay so handy! Great food, comfy bed!
Location, bed, helpful staff, the lift access to Lambton Quay!
Nothing not to like!
Location and the valet service
The $100 holding fee, which wasn't going to be refunded until 3 to 5 working days after our departure. It tied up my spending money on my credit card until my holiday was over. The accommodation was already paid for, they had my credit card details and the valet service was paid for, so I still don't understand what the holding fee was for. They were the only accommodation in N.Z for our 2 week trip that did this.
Being asked to pay an extra $100 because I used an Eftpos card to pay the accommodation with and then all the hassle at the end trying to get the refund from front desk
Great location with direct access to Lambton key and proximity to Airport bus stops.
The breakfast was pretty dreadful. The continental option was not available on a Sunday and the full breakfast was substandard . The machine-made Coffee was a poor substitute for the real thing. There should at least be a proper 'bean-to-cup' machine if freshly made coffee is not available ..
Decor, clean, we were able to check in early. Location. Breakfast.
Windows in rooms can't open. My husband paid for room with his visa which caused an issue because on arrival reception staff wanted to see the card which I didn't have so this delayed check in, nobody new what to do about it then they asked for cash as a security deposit. They had the visa number on file I didnt see the problem. In the end my husband txt the visa number and it was decided that was ok.
The room was modern, very clean and comfortable. Dine-in menu had 'make your own salad' to keep the calories down (usually difficult to do if using room service). Wonderfully quiet - good soundproofing Got good price deal so v. good value for money.
Conditioning shampoo - hate it.
Comfortable bed, good coffee in restaurant
The windows don't open and air conditioning seemed very dry
From 9th floor the outlook over the hills was a nice surprise as we expected to be looking onto high rise buildings. Nice sun in afternoon. clean, liked the cleaner's friendliness, late checkout, newspaper, good facilities. Lift access to Lambton Quay, comfortable beds, close car parking
TV picture average
A real surprise , so comfortable and a bonus Eco friendly hotel thanks
Very comfy bed Nice breakfast Pleasant helpful staff
No negative comments to make
Central location was an excellent aspect,
We weren't able to stay longer to take advantage of the facilities available.
Lovely breakfast, good valet parking and service.
Front desk Men need to be more friendly and smile. While they did what was required a greeting and smile or thankyou goes along way. Restaurant and bar staff excellent.
Loved everything but location clinched it. Just about exensivefor me so a free breakfast would have been helpful. But great value and for special occasions just wonderful. Staff especially need a high level of praise. Thanks
excellent getting on and off the motorway quiet, great comfy beds great position downtown we will be back!!
We never use buses in Auckland but in Wellington they are at the front door virtually.Easy to catch and come often. Pillows are important as thats why you stay somewhere to be comfortable and many places seem to think an old pillow is O.K.but thats not O.K.....Novotel Wellington has Good pillows.
Was there something we missed.I do not think so.
Free wifi in rooms would make all the difference
Overall, we had a good stay with our 9 months old baby. The rooms were sufficiently clean, we did not had to worry about our child crawling on the carpet. The room was warm and mostly quiet, which is not standard in NZ.
At booking time we requested a baby cot which was not in the room. This was no problem as we arrived at daytime and staff organized a cot quickly. Unfortunately, the mattress in the cot was extremly thin, so baby would feel the metal bar in her back. We helped ourselves by putting a bunch of spare pillows underneath. Wifi costs extra and there are no free public TV channels, only expensive video on demand. I think the movies were around $15 per movie, which is a bad joke.
Great location - nice easy walk down to Lampton Quay and across to the harbour. I'm a walker so didn't mind trekking around the city by foot. Nice, clean rooms.
There was nothing I didn't like. I was disappointed it didn't have a pool, however that was my oversight when booking :-)
I object to the fact that I was charged for using my credit card. As I booked online there is no alternative. I just can't believe that such a large organization can be so small minded to rook customers for a few dollars. It isn't so much the cost as the principle.
