Grand Mercure Wellington Central City Apartments  

Spacious rooms, friendly staff, clean hotel. Great location. Had no problems at all.

Nothing at all, everything was at a high standard.

I thought the room was nice and clean and I loved the breakfast

I Liked the way the staff greeted myself when they saw me. The staff were so helpfull.

The only problem was the noise of the fridge and that it was very hard to get the fridge door open. seemed to be facing the wrong way. Other than that no problems.

Room on the top floor was very nice. It was good to have a bedroom seperate from the lounge.

Bathroom fan was annoying: it was loud and went on for ages just by turning on the light. I actually preferred to use the bathroom in the dark, then to switch on the fan. I found the staff to be pretty disinterested.. sometimes they did not look up from the desk when I walked in or out (it is nice to get a smile!)

Very friendly reception staff. Good location.

There was no bath mat on our first day, we had to use our bath towels to stand on. Bathroom supplies were not replaced, I had to ask reception for supplies. Room was not attended to every day.

Location, and interior design

The reason I chose these where for a balcony and view.it states that for a harbour view apartment you get a balcony and wen we got there we had no balcony and then the staff lied to us and says it didnt say that, so had to make them look up on internet site to see for themselves, and after all that couldnt even get a room with balcony...huge disappointment

That it had a micowave and a little stove top for easy home cook meals

No soap for hand washing: Pillows were really hard and lumpy.

Staff were amazing and helpful. Room was well designed and presented beautifully.

Could not find anything to complain about all round excellent.

We had a great harbour room which was much bigger than we thought it would be.

The exhaust in the bathroom was a bit noisy and we had no way of turning it off.

Location was very good - convenient, easy access to anything Central in Wellington.

The balcony was quite unnerving. Faulty shower and lack of places to put toiletries down in the bathroom. Power points were located in absurd positions, eg, hidden behind the bed or in other obscure places. There can be no excuse for this.

Clean comfortable room with a kingsize bed.

The room was excellent, clean and spacious. We wanted somewhere to stay that would not be over-priced and yet be close to the key tourist attractions. We were on the 13th floor, meaning we could see Wellington harbour, and the location meant we could easily walk to many places in the city centre. If ever we are in Wellington again the Central City Apartments would be the first place we would consider.

Housekeeping staff were very friendly.

Unprofessional female receptionist when we arrived. Had poorly applied fake eyelashes that made her look ridiculous and was missing some of her long fake nails. She was very casual how she spoke to me because I was a young female as well.

The didn´t make the room service, in spite of we ask for it several times. Whe i became angry, the said that they dont have personal at this hour (7PM) for make it. So they gave us breakfast for free, but it not the same. We pay for room service and wa hadn´t it.

Very friendly and couteous staff throughout my 4 days stay. Young lady at reception was helpful with knowledge of Wellington.

Lack of parking was an inconvenience - got 2 tickets.

Convenient as not far from conference at Michael Fowler Centre.

That there was no restaurant for breakfast.

Bit noisy, but thats what you get for a great location! Wasn't too bad.

Location to CBD, my husband was wanting to visit Boutique Breweries and Bars so this was an ideal central location to visit many of these establishments within walking distance.

Where the table was situated in room, you had to keep shifting it if you wanted to go outside on the balcony.

Was very central close to all things bus over the road 2 great craft brewery bars right next door shops restaurants would definitley stay again very nice staff who couldn"t do enough for us.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the view from my 10th floor studio apartment was stunning! The centrality of the location was awesome, great restaurants and all the must-see spots in Wellington city is all within walking distance.

The staff were very friendly and made an exception to let my husband and I check into our room early as I was unwell. The bed was very comfortable and the extra blanket and heater allowed us to stay very warm. Great to have so many tv channels to watch especially the olympics on Sky. Staff allowed us to keep our bags behind reception the following day as we explored Wellington City.
