City Centre Motel  

Very friendly welcome, informative and very helpful. It is within walking to Christchurch city centre on the outskirts of the Red Zone.

Due to the earthquake damage, it can be difficult to get to and you will need a gps to get you around the city.

The one bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable. The decor was a little dated but it was comfortable and clean. The central location is great and I enjoy walking around the inner city to see the changes that are occuring in Christchurch. Love the free wifi and morning paper. I would happily stay here again

Position was excellent. Free wifi was very welcome. The room was clean, comfortable and had all necessary facilities. Tina was very welcoming and helpful with directions, booking shuttle etc.

This hotel is in a great location and is only about a 10 min walk to the Museum, Botanical Gardens, etc. The owner, Tina is a wonderful lady, very knowledgeable and generous. She upgraded us to a 2 bedroom unit when our original room wasn't available. Tina can also recommend very good tours.

Friendliness of Tina the proprietor and the nearness of its location to the beautiful ChCh City.

This hotel was in a great location, close to everything. We arrived at 1am after a very late, delayed flight and the electric blankets and heating were all on. It was very cosy and comfortable. The spa bath and the toiletries were very welcome too. The kids loved the two single beds in the 2nd room. The kitchen was great too. The wifi was easy. Tina was very helpful with maps and tips. We had a lovely two nights here.

It felt like a friendly place and we could settle in and enjoy looking after ourselves and have someone else clean and replace the used stuff. Lovely towels and the heated towel rail. Pretty quiet too which was nice.

The only thing which we didnt like was the couch! We realised it was a sofa bed but it certainly isnt comfortable for a night in watching the T.V. It slopes frontwards and is to low.

El hotel esta muy bien situado, es precioso y tiene todas las comodidades, como calentador de colchon, que en Nueva Zelanda se agardece. Esta limpisimo, tiene nevera¡ equpamiento para hacer te y cafe, que te proporcionan y microondas. Repetiria, sin dudarlo. La señora de recepcion nos recomendó un restaurante para comer cercano, que era precioso y se comia muy bien.

Older motel but well-maintained. Parking right by your door. Good kitchen. Free wifi. Great location, right up street from Cathedral area (when the red zone reopens). Tina, our hostess, was a lot of fun, full of useful information and extremely helpful. She clearly loves her city and made our visit wonderful.

Sadly many of the fine neighbouring buildings have been demolished due to the earthquakes. Until re-building is complete, this creates a rather bleak neighbourhood, especially at night.

The owners are truly wonderful, lovely, and helpful. Good location, though with the downtown being closed off because of the earthquake, getting anywhere in Christchurch requires some diversion and patience. Free Wifi.
