Location is good, and I found the staff to be nice and friendly. And room was clean, Not much to complain about, only there was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom,

Location. The heat in our room was unreal..it was colder in the hallway and we were unable to open the windows back to let air into the room. It was a pity as it really took away from our experience...can only imagin what it would be like in summer!!

it was very clean everythingyou need for a short stay, would stay again a lot nicer than a normal backpackers accomadation over looking the other accomadatoin ,also a shelf in the shower would be nice

Comfortable bed. Clean room. Nice selection of free teas and coffee. Numerous tourist brochures and maps available in the lobby. Room was small. A little noisy, but my room was situated near the elevator and lobby.

Good value for money, clean and good central location. The double bed would've been difficult for two people - ie no access for one person except to climb over the other.

Quiet location (relatively speaking) only a few minutes' walk from the Skytower, shopping area and waterfront. Rooms are small but very clean, and each has an en-suite shower room, tv, fridge and kettle. There's a common room and extensive cooking facilities in the basement so City Lodge neatly bridges the gap between budget hotel and backpackers, at a reasonable rate for its location. The mattress was very lumpy - I had a double to myself, it would have been a nightmare for two. Also the bed was in an alcove so you could only get into bed on one side.

Location is good.The room was basic but for the price, that's all we expected. Very comfy beds!!! What disappoint me mostly was the attitude of their staff. Totally no smile. And we did booked "Standard Double Room with extra bed" online and was told it was there no extra bed when got there. The staff did not listen our explain. We have to change to triple room, and that cost more.

Our room had a wonderful view of the city, especially at night when the buildings were illuminated, but it wasn't just buildings - there was plenty of greenery from street trees and parks too. Eco-friendly toiletries were provided for our use as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Having a frig in our room was an unexpected bonus. The communal kitchen, dining and living area was excellent. The location is close to the city with restaurants and cafes a short walk away and a convenience store across the road.

The location was good and it was cheap. I got an upgrade to a double room which was great. The room was basic but for the price, that's all I expected. The tv was a little small and I had to tune it in to get the other channels. I travel a lot within nz and the places we usually stay have complimentary toiletries so I assumed City Lodge would also (even though it didn't say that on the website). At the end of the day, I should have packed a small bottle of shampoo and body wash.

Great for what we needed (one night), close to town and at a reasonable price. Liked the late(ish) at 10.30am! We thought the room would get quite hot but it wasn't uncomfortable. The bathroom window opened on to the 'kitchen' window, so both couldn't be opened too far at the same time.

It was in a great location and was close enough to downtown to walk or take the free red bus. The shared kitchen was large and provided ample room for cooking our meals. Being able to complete our laundry was also a bonus. WiFi was expensive and not reasonably priced.

Friendly & welcoming. I needed a place to stay & it was convenient. Room was very small indeed, (especially considering the price). No chairs to sit on in the room.

Staff always helpul. Good location. Very basic but Excellent value. Our windows were open so along with fresh air we got a bit of city noise, nothing excessive.

It's a very nice environment, Mainly student from everywhere in the world studying english in nz but also famly and many more (I've been during the Rugby wc). Just excellent
