“ We liked the personal touch we received when staying at the Colonial City Motel. The continental breakfast was enjoyable and delivered spot on time. The location suited us. It was a warm and cosy place to stay while in Hamilton. ” Julieann, Rockhampton Colonial City Motel is within a 15-minute walk of Lake Rotoroa and the centre of Hamilton. It offers free parking on site, free Wi-Fi access and rooms with a kitchenette. Heated guest rooms have an outdoor patio with a seating area. The attached kitchenette has a microwave, hot plates and a fridge. Amenities include ironing equipment and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. A self-service guest laundry can be found on site. Luggage storage is available. Motel was excellent, Owner friendly and created a relaxed atmosphere, would willingly stay there again, breakfast enjoyable and well presented, would definitely stay again. Only the weather spoiled our stay in Hamilton.

comfortable, everything that we required was there was a tad old, needed abit of a spruce up, the night we were there a nearby band played to 2am, that wasn't nice

Very large suites which included a sitting room, a double bedroom, kitchen and shower room. A continental breakfast is delivered the night before. Plenty of room to relax in.

The service was welcoming as we had arrived late. Excellent value for money with a continental breakfast thrown in Mattresses were old (by several years) and not very comfortable. I actually had a rotten night's sleep. So did my adult daughter who accompanied me with her 4 year old son.

Very spacious for a backpackers, with great old-style/ colonial atmosphere. Quiet even though it's near the center of town. Great hosts. Good off street parking. Could be just a little cleaner.

Cost and it was near the LDS Temple. They did furnish a nice continental breakfast which was brought to our room the night before. The shower was crazy. It was at least 12" to step up into the shower and the shower head hit us about shoulder level. The room was so small we had to go across the bed to get around each other. It was not a good room for older people - too many steep stairs.

Wer had a upgrade at no extra cost from a studio to a 1 bedroom apartment. This was due to they had taking a booking from some sports teams which they cannot turn down who could be a bit rowdy and we had been moved to a room where the noise would be minimal
