“ Close in to the centre of Christchurch, with a quality restaurant out the front. The staff were first rate and could not of been more helpful. Even the damage to the room with the uneven floors as a result of the earthquakes made the experience of being in Christchurch that more realistic. ”

The ability to check in late (1.30am in my case) by prior arrangement was much appreciated. The hotel is close to some really nice places to eat. It's far enough from the centre to not feel like you are in the middle of depressing devastation, but close enough to walk to the Re-Start Mall and things that are still open (like the excellent Canterbury museum) in the centre of the city. Nothing. Everything was great.

We stayed here the week before and liked the area so we went back. It is really close to the city centre so easy to travel around town. No elevator.

It was close to the city center (even though most of it was blocked off at the time). We enjoyed how close it was to Hagley Park and the Arts Museum. The staff were great and helpful.

The room we ended up with was warm and quiet, very simple but well equipped. Christchurch is still very much in demolition stage but we found all the locals to be friendly and very helpful. The café's and restaurants were of very good quality and we were looked after very well, heads up to the Christchurch locals. The double bed was not at all comfortable, it was very lumpy and very small, we were there for business, were moved from our studio that we originally booked, to a smaller room ? the small room was not suitable to consult with clients, as it had no table to sit at, so we had to find a venue in town to meet with our clients, which wasn't that easy.

We liked the convenience of the location. Walking through Hagley Park and on to the Botanic Gardens was great. We also walked to breakfast some mornnings at Vic's (a great spot!) and dinner at various restaurants. The desk staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. They were always ready to help us with directions, etc. We dealt with Joel mostly and I wanted to express our graditude to her for being so helpful. The free Internet was great, especially since that was our only connection with our family back in the States. Also, having the laundry facility right on property was a plus!

Rooms well laid out and very clean. Was very quiet and not a lot of road noise Access from main intersection difficult especially coming from city end of Bealey Ave. Bed (double) was extremely soft and had the "roll together" factor as springs not in good shape, both my partner and I has sore backs in the morning.

Nothing Everything. Motel looks pretty outside, however, once we walked in, we were all shocked. The place is so disgusting. Everything inside is out of date. especially kitchen makes me lose my appetite. I was so lucky to stay only one night. Do not even wanna go back there again.
