Room was very comfortable. Shower was great.
Limited uncovered parking. A bit out of the way.
Very clean and good service.
We did not know there were 2 Copthornes in AK, booking.com did not inform us of this and we thought we had booked into the Quay in AK, very embarrassing for us to have a lug our bags back to the car to be directed to the other motel in Anzac St.
Helpful staff and comfortable room with pleasant outlook over park. Room on fourth floor was quiet ensuring a good night's sleep.
Disappointing quality of breakfast.
Bed was comfortable, good pillows. Shower had good pressure. Good location to Vector Arena.
The room smelt musty. This was probably due to the badly leaking shower. The cleaning was average, certainly not thoroughly cleaned. The bathroom is in serious need of an upgrade. When checking out (between 9am and 10am the busiest time for a hotel) there was only one girl on the counter and we felt sorry for her as she was under a lot of pressure as people were frustrated by having to wait. Very disappointed considering what we had to pay for the room.
lack of information given on phone when I phoned the day before regarding parking and lack of information that the staff needed to know regarding bond for a room that had flies in it not enough towels .
Friendly staff Great value for money ( a harbour view room was a lovely bonus) Able to get meal later in evening
Booked for 3 on booking.com but when arrived they expected 2. Found us room with two double beds. Facilities tired and in need of a handyman
Location, just had to go down the steps. Staff very friendly and helpful. Price, got the booking on line at a discount - Excellent
Wanted 2 single beds told unavailable, that's OK though as we were only staying the one night. Would have liked to have been told more about the breakfast menu. Would have taken the dearer option of the buffet breakfast as we could only see cereal and toast etc from the counter and we wanted a cooked breakfast . Not a dislike, just a suggestion. Great Hotel and staff
Convinience, location in the city was good.
Bathroom needed an upgrade, room was a little dingy.
I expected free WiFi in a city like Auckland. It was available in much smaller establishments in the far north.
Good price for a family break Easy walking distance of downtown Auckland. Easy parking Good views
Room was very small and the beds far too small (2 doubles for a family of 4!) The hotel is quite tired and needs a bit of a facelift. The carpets were worn and quite stained particularly in the hallways.
Great restaurant Food was fabulous Staff good easy access good price
check the jugs please mine had something grotty in it and the sliding door was stuck bit old but comfortable bed, quiet
The location of Copthorne is great when going to a concert at vector. Its not too far from queen street.
The interior of the lifts are very old looking and smell.
Location and proximity to the University. We specially went to Auckland to see our grandson who is a student there. Delighted to get reasonable parking for our car so close to the city although the parks were a pretty tight fit.
Our room was all we needed for the short visit but it was a little small - we wouldn't have wanted to have a longer term stay.
The quietness is the best thing I like about this hotel. Besides, it is closed to my uni accommodation. So i can come over to visit my parents all the time
All of the facilities are not new. They are quite out of date.
The fact Copthorne Auckland held over $500 dollars on my card for security deposit and it took over a week for it to be released back onto my card after I left. Other locations did not need such a high security deposit.
Wi Fi far too expensive
No corceige.Poor parking areas
Didn't realise it did not have local near restaurants. Thought that as it was near the university the area would be more active.
room ,severice, lobby ,bar ,car parking
The price was good because we got it cheap off book.com $200 for two for two nights
The door to our room took 5mins to try unlock. I had to get reception to help. This wasn't our error the locks need replacing. It takes far to long and far to much jiggling with the right push to get the key to go all the way in. The phone in our room did not work to call reception No extractor fan in the bathroom Rooms need to be more sound proof
The desk facing out the window
No bath tub
Quietness of our room Food
When we got there the room I'd booked was apparently not available. Eventually we got the room with 2 complimentary drinks
Air con didn't work. We were too hot all night and didn't sleep well
Inexpensive parking on the premises. Hotel is within a walking distance to the commercial Queen street, Skycity and other attractions in central Auckland. Receptionist gave us useful information. Room and bathroom very clean and functional. Bed very comfortable.
Complimentary WiFi of 50 meg, otherwise their WiFi is very expensive. Copthorne should fast forward to 2014 and offer free unlimited WiFi like similar modern hotel chains.
