The staff were extremely helpful with what was around the hotel, and the rooms were excellent. Bed was so comfy. The car park was a bit odd and the speed bump going into the carpark needs some maintainance.

We stayed at the Crowne to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. The staff were so friendly and professional and the restaurant they recommended for our anniversary dinner was incredible. The room/bed were super comfy and they upgraded us so we have a water/mountain view. For the money we spent, it was some simply awesome. It is also nice to stay at a hotel where you are made to feel welcome and comfortable. Great job, we will be going back. The TV was a little fuzzy, no big deal.

The location is unbeatable, along with the views from the balcony. The service at the hotel was really poor. Firstly, their room service fought with us over an order and didnt deliver on time and when the food came it was cold. On escalating the problem, nothng was done by the concerned person. It almost ruined our new years eve. Housekeeping gave simple things like a sewing kit after reminding them thrice. Internet connnectivity over wifi was not very smooth with a few hiccups. The biggest surprise is that there is no parking, and there's a NZD 15 per day charge for valet parking. When the car came back, it smelled distinctly of dogs, meaning it had probably not been kept in good conditions, in fact the insides of the car seemed to be smelling. Overall, the hotel was veery expensive with a lot of hidden charges and was the only hotel we regret staying in NZ. All the others were really good.

I enjoyed the faculty but wAs very disappointed to find my pre paid bi hadn't been received by them and I assume you have banked my money from my card and not paid them. You rip off bastards! If I get charged twice I will let everyone I know know!

the location was perfect, close to restaurants, shops and night life. The view was very good, it was quiet at night. It was just a great relaxing place to stay and i would certainly stay there again. Thanks.

Wonderfully helpful staff and a fantastic location. The lake view room we had was fantastic! The hotel even put a bottle of sparkling wine in our room because we're on our honeymoon - a lovely touch! Very little not to like - the sauna facilities etc didn't have free access I.E. without needing to contact a concierge, which seemed a bit odd.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza . It is a lovely place to stay and the staff could not have been more helpful . I certainly hope to stay there again in 2013 when I return to the South Island.

The quality for the price paid by us was excellent. Great position in Queenstown We did not use the in house internet connection as we thought the price was a complete rip off.

It was my husbands birthday and they went out of their way to make it a special occassion. We had a flight and liesure cruise booked to Milford sound which was cancelled due to weather. We had a lovely man who went out of his way to book helicopter flights and jet book activity for us due to our cancellation. Wine was waiting for us in our room saying happy birthday. They made it an extra special weekend for us.

I booked hotel and told staff that the reason we were in Queenstown for holiday because it is for my friend's 40th birthday. Surprise when we got to the room, we found there was a bottle of wine and happy birthday card on the table from the hotel. That is very touchy, and I am very happy with the service we had and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel to stay at! Right in the middle of town, beautiful scenery to wake up to in the mornings specially during the end of winter with the last dumping of snow. Rooms had excellent heating which you could also turn the heating down if it got to hot. When making the booking there was a bit of a mix up with my room through booking.com but! The excellent staff on reception when I phoned were able to get me a room right at front of the hotel over looking the lake and mountain views. Highly reccomend this hotel, I will be re-booking here again. Thanks to the crowne plaza team for a warm welcome and friendly stay
