I like the fact that there is a pub in the building, that you can get food there or cook your own. I like the old building and the stairwell. I like the interesting people I always get to meet there.

I didn't like the fact that in our room there was a bath, only no taps for the bath and no bath plug.

An Oldie but a goody. House bar is always alive with good friendly people. Lots of young folk who make the place jump. A good cross section of citizens stay here, also Great new World Supermarket on the Railway Station straight across the road. Airport bus and Metro bus station 200 meters away Mc Ds. next door what else do you want

    Nothing all good.

Opposite the train station, right in the city. Bar, cafe on site. Quiet.

    The shower wasn't the best.

Great that it's so peaceful and quiet which helped with sleep. The mattresses in room 214 were very comfortable. Heating very good. Reception and restaurant area nice. Great location across road from intercity bus and train station. Happy that manager helped with bags as i brought alot back from overseas. Thank you.

The bathroom outdated and because i had an almost 3yr old with me i didnt bath him there as it was shared bathroom. Would be better to see new modern bathrooms installed. Cracks and large paint chips in walls of both bathroom and bedroom. I dont like that i paid $64 for a single bunk room in its current condition. That is alot of money to pay for something that is fairly rundown. Id like to suggest locks on the inside of bedroom doors on the off chance you have young children stay again to prevent them wandering out into the hallway in middle of night. I put a suitcase in front of door so that my boy wouldnt do this. Hallways and stairwell rather dark and gloomy. A brighter colour on walls would help give it a feel of more light. $17 for weetbix and yoghurt with 2 juice bottles for breakfast a bit hefty in the restaurant. Also in bathroom, office building next door people can clearly see a silhoette of a naked body. Need to change bathroom windows! Perhaps also put blinds in for further privacy. Youre charging hotel prices for rundown backpacker rooms. Its more satisfying to know as customers we are paying for a nice new room and getting further value for our dollar. Id stay again but would like to see big changes upon next stay. Renovating one bedroom at a time is something but not enough. You need to match the room meticulously to your $ rates. Thank you.

Loved the dining/lounge and the fact that it had a cafe with lovely food and great prices. Latte and delicious muffin for just $5. You can stay there without cooking for yourself.

The bunk bed. At 53 I describe myself as 'agility challenged' and my first attempt at the rungs of the bunk left me pulling it away from the wall and nearly tipping it over. It was better once the person was on the bottom bunk. A second negative is that it is so nice to just hang out in the dining lounge that you might be tempted not to bother going out at all.

great place if youre attending something at the Cake Tin

the only thing I didnt like was that you couldnt just go back to your locker to grab something out of your bag without having to get another locker

It's very easy to check in, even though you have to wait a bit if it's peak time Staff are very patient, room is comfortable and clean, lots of different people there, noise settles at night, feel safe.

Would like an ironing board and iron in my room to save 'travel to the top' to iron

    Friendly and helpful staff

Lockers being downstairs and having to pay for them... Would be nice to have them in the room, under the beds for example - for free ;-)

I particularly liked the location because I arrived on the Bluebridge Ferry and departed by bus at the Railway Station. The walk into the city was easy and enjoyable.

Nothing it was all good :)
