Very close proximity to city sights, shopping etc. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Was looking forward to a harbour view, but had a 2nd floor room. Tiles in bathroom were quite badly cracked in places and I wondered how hygienic this was.

Excellent staff A tired old hotel, although the rooms have been refurbished the bathrooms are way overdue. The airconditioning was so noisy it could not be used at night. I complained, a mechanic visited it but nothing can be done short of replacement.

the fact that the bulldogs were there as well....hubby is an avid doggies supporter - saw ben barba rushing over to macca's the fact that I had to pay an extra $100 because I used a debit card - i only had enough for the original price of $325 not $425 - hence my card was declined and hubby had to foot the bill - this was suppose to be on me ???aarrrgh

Reception staff were very accommodating. Spacious rooms with lovely view. Location great. Restaurant very expensive. Service at bar was slow as not enough staff there for busy Saturday night.

Staff were lovely Paid for 3 adults to stay in the room, when we arrived the room was only made up for two adults, not enough towels, soups, cup, coffee etc. The extra fee was $40 and it would have been nice to have the room made up for two. Also booking.com states an extra adult is only $30 however Amora Hotel would not honour this.

Location was excellent for walking around the city close to waterfront and other landmarks like Te Papa Being able to upgrade to use Club was excellent Air con system was too loud to put on during the night so room became quite hot
