Loved the location and views. Excellent hot water.
The musty, stale smell of the unit. Old, seemingly unclean ,smelly carpets and curtains. Antiquated bathroom, no heated towel rails, toilet had a distinct seweragy smell about it.The entire complex needs pulling down and rebuilt to a modern standard, especially given the nightly $ rate. Such a waste of money given the superb location.
We stayed there only for one night but we enjoyed it a lot! The location of the hotel was excellent and close to the lake and we could enjoy the lake from our balcony. The room and bathroom were spacy, comfortable, clean and fresh. We had a fridge and TV at our disposal. Free Wifi and free parking spot were also available. The staff was very professional, very friendly and helpful. All our questions were answered before we managed to asked any. An amazing service! The breakfast at the hotel was also great. By the checkout we also received free bottles of water which was very nice. Checkin/checkout are available 24/7. We loved our stay there!
It was a nice quiet room with lovely views of Lake Wanaka. Staff were brilliant on arrival and departure.
Couldn't sort the wifi but to be fair I didn't go and ask anyone for help.
The living areas Were spacious
For the price I would expect air conditioning. Had to use a very noisy fan. A seperate shower not one over the bath. The bathroom was crampt.
Very good location, rooms have views to the lake. Nice garden, quiet rooms
The rooms are quite old, may require some renovation on the furniture and some other elements
Balcony room overlooking the lake on a perfect summers day. Nice lake front amble to town.
The surrounding. The green grass patch, the lake and the room.
Location right at the lake with wonderful view, spacious and warm room. We liked it so much that we came back a second time within three days of our NZ travel
Position next to lake and gardens.
Distance to town.
It was in a nice part of Wanaka, but you have to drive into the main centre if you don't feel like taking a walk. Overall the facilities were okay. The food in the dining room was good.
The downstair rooms don't have good lake views and are very close together, so when sitting outside the room, you can see your neighbours. Also, people can see in to your room when walking across the lawn from the lake. The beds were not overly comfortable. Although the staff serving dinner and the desk staff were polite, the staff at breakfast were quite rude and we never had our order taken, even though it was not busy.
Great view and location. Friendly staff. It gave us good memory of wanaka.
Our unit overlooked the lake - just beautiful. Grounds and surrounds very well maintained.
Bit of a walk into town but nice path around the lake made it pleasant. Weather for us was good but would have been a chore if wet.
This was our favourite hotel in the south island, and for a small sum as well! It had great access to the town, and everything you would need on site, and more! We rented bikes, and had a go on the putting green. We wish we had booked to stay longer. The staff treated us very well also.
No issues with Edgewater.
Loved everything. Close to Wanaka for restaurants. The views were amazing. Peaceful, clean, comfortable. Perfect, highly recommend
Location is just wonderful and the suites are lovely
The location meant we had the best nights sleep of our holiday!
Restaurant good for breakfast proper continental with cold meats and cheese but eat elsewhere for dinner - there is soon much more to eat in Wanaka
Location, location, location
Location, views, facility
We celebrated our 30 th wedding anniversary and what a beautiful place to do so with a view over the lake and the mountain! The setting is picturesque and weather played along so that we could go for a walk along the lake all the way to the town center. The staff in the restaurant was friendly and went out of their way to organise us a table at the window.
- great location - very good food, including the freshly made scones (there's a special scone menu!)
- due to strong winds the door of our room was banging in the frame. must have been lacking the rubber seal
grass fields lake view mountain views space easy walk to town room sizes were great it felt right
it didn't snow in the town - it did on the mountains but hey its spring!
Loved the location and facilities
The laksa wasn't a laksa - laksa is like a soup - it was a noodle stir fry and pea and ham soup needs a little more substance than store bought ham
Little touches the staff went out of their way to do.
The beautiful grounds and location. It, as its name suggests, is by the side of a lake, with a vista of mountains in the background. I love this place! The restaurant was excellent.
