Fabulous room, no attention to detail spared. Gorgeous roll top bath which all made for a romantic evening. We stayed in the winter but would love to experience this fabulous room in the summer time and enjoy the spacious balcony. Fabulously comfortable bed with high quality linen. The owner provided a scrumptious breakfast of fresh hand made pastries to die for.
Would recommend providing greater accessibility to staff. The hotel has only three rooms and staff are absent from the property at times.
Amazing spot. Beautiful room with a harbour view. Home made croissants best in New Zealand and I'm from France . Host was lovely. Would definitely stay again.
I had to go home
Great hotel great location in a beautiful town.
Not great organisation. Waited a long time for a meal at dinner. Seemed unorganized with staff running to super market for extra supplies.
Central location. Cheerful owner. Generous breakfast.
No actual shower (there was a handheld attachment which you could use while in the bath). Our room was close to the kitchen and resturant hence it was noisy until late at night.
loved the ambience most beautiful boutique hotel
the noise from the irish hotel right beside our bedroom window which was closed with wood blinds and curtains. lasted until 1am
It was the only boutique hotel in town. Food was excellent
The room was large and well appointed
We had dinner at the hotel because we arrived late. The avocado starter was inedible with the chef using the excuse that in France less ripe avocados deliver optimum flavour. This is clearly ridiculous. The food was overpriced and average at best The cups at breakfast were dirty We organised breakfast for 8.30am but it was after 9.00am before anybody turned up at the hotel to let us into the breakfast area. The hotel appears to operate remotely. We were awoken at 1.30am and again at 2.30am by groups of drunken people loitering outside the hotel We had been in NZ for just over a week at the point we stayed at Escape to Picton. This was definitely our worst experience - when the "manager" calls the hotel Fawlty Towers, you know you are in for an indifferent experience!!!
Close to centre of town Stylish furnishings and linen
Hotel charged our credit card on booking contrary to Booking . Com rules On arrival they told us we were not entitled to gourmet breakfast or fruit platter in room as we had used your service.this is not stated anywhere in their literature or on your site. Interior of room was completely visible to passing foot traffic a few metres away, needed net curtains. This package is greatly overpriced compared with other equivalent Picton accommodation.
The rooms were amazing, very comfortable and superbly decorated Servcie was warm and friendly
Beautiful spacious suite, really comfortably furnished. Relaxed atmosphere. Delicious dinner.
Loved it all.
