Staying at this property was like staying with family members who were concerned with our every need and wanted us to come back for a visit! John and Beth couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. John gave us wonderful advice re: planning our trip itinerary and in addition, he is a wonderful cook! We had two delicious breakfast while there. Beth is very artistic: their b and b is beautifully decorated and she created flower arrangements in each room. She also makes her own jams and preserves which we loved. Beth realized we were exhausted when we arrived fresh from 40 hours of traveling. We wanted to just have a few things from the grocery store for dinner. She drove us there and provided place settings for our dinner. They both gave us big hugs when we left. I hope to see them again!

Great hosts.

We loved our hosts, our room, our breakfast; which was unbelievable. The most divine homemade jams. The best corn fritters we have ever had. We were made to feel very welcome; like family. We will stay there whenever we travel to Christchurch. It was a great location to stay and then travel everywhere from.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were lovely and every little detail had been well thought out, i.e. our needs were catered for beautifully.

There was nothing that was too much trouble for the hosts. They were so very welcoming and their service level was above and beyond any expectations. It was a beautifully comfortable experience. I have no hesitation in recommending this B & B to anyone who enjoys being spoilt.

John and Beth are amazing hosts. I have stayed in many high end hotels and motels, Garden View was way beyond expectations and all previous experiences. I will definatley use it as a first choice for future visits to Christchurch and might even have to make up excuses to visit Christchurch just to stay there again. Well located for travel south but a bit out of the way for Christchurch stay.

John & Beth really make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble for them. You feel as though you are part of the family. They helped me decide on my itinerary for the rest of my trip to New Zealand as well as the local attractions around Christchurch.

A delightful stay. My hosts were exceptionally welcoming and generous. They provided excellent breakfasts with large helpings of beautiful home-grown fruit, and they were even prepared to get up very early to ensure that I was well fed before an early flight. What's more, my room was wonderfully presented with high-quality linen etc. To cap it all, the hosts were charming and always ready to engage in conversation. Much recommended.
