Novotel Queenstown Lakeside  

Organizado, limpo, moderno e muito bem localizado

I cannot fault the staff or the room we had. I had booked a deluxe room and we had an overview of the rose garden but could also see the lake. The staff were always friendly and helpful and even went out of their way to help us. My husband lost his wallet while we were on an excursion and becuase the hotel card was in his wallet the person who found the wallet telephoned the hotel who went out of their way to help us retrieve the wallet. We were also there New Years Eve and the dinner on that night was superb. There is no other place in Queenstown I would stay except the Novotel. Seconds to the Lake and minutes to the shops. Friendly helpful staff, a wifi site what else could anyone ask for.

Had a very pleasant stay. Would like to comment on the staff. On meeting staff they all acknowledged us, often asking did we need something. Comfortable beds, lovely view and best of all very reasonable. Would stay again, a most enjoyable break. Have stayed in several Hotels on Queenstown and would rate this the best!! Good Location

Our room was right at the back of the hotel with no view at all. Room too expensive for the location of our room, very dissapointed.

Service was friendly

We were very surprised and disappointed that we could not watch the Australian Open women's tennis final in the comfort of our own room. We expect that this service should have been available in any hotel, especially one which charges the rates you do.

The rose gardens were beautiful and the location was fantastic - a beautiful vista of mountains rising up out of the water.

There seemed to be some confusion with all of our party's bookings, though this was quickly resolved. There was no wifi in the rooms, though there were a couple of internet kiosks in the foyer to use for free. The Novotel was comfortable enough but pretty standard in terms of service and facilities. The location was definitely worth it though.

Location, quality, friendly and helpful staff

It was perfect for us for a small break.

Lovely location and beautiful gardens which we were able to utilise particularly during our 2 night stay 5th/6th Jan. It was recommended to us for the before/after accomodation for the Milford Sound walk. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone staying in Queenstown.Staff were particularly attentive and helpful.

Room smelt of water damage, reported but no action

Location - simply superb. 50M to the lakes, shops or nearest cafes. Whilst the hotel is starting to show its age a little, that is reflected in the rate making it great value for money.

Suggestions rather than complaints: Making the restaurant more affordable would attract more customers and I am sure generate a better overall result for the hotel and holiday customers. Similarly with internet access - very few free computers. A modest charge and more computers would generate the same revenue and much higher satisfaction.
