We were very happy with the friendly reception. As we'd flown in early we weren't sure whether we'd be able to book in on arrival. This wasn't a problem as the room was ready and we were made to feel very welcome. Also, the concierge was friendly and helpful when we arranged to leave our bags. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious.We felt very relaxed. |

The efficient and friendly staff helped make our stay very enjoyable. The room was just the right size without any wasted space. comfortable beds. The evening meal at the restaurant was first rate. We felt the buffet breakfast at $26 a head was expensive so we eat at cafes nearby for half the price. |

Attended a conference there so it was very handy to be able stay at same place.Room was a good size, as was the bathroom. Found the light switches a bit confusing, esp the one for turning light off over kitchenette. |

Quiet, comfortable spacious room. Walking distance to everything in city centre. Breakfast was great. No bathroom storage and vanity bench not big enough. Had to boil the kettle in the bathroom. |

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the buffet breakfast was delicious and again the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was large and we had views over the city to the mountains. We would stay there again. |

Friendly professional staff, excellent location in middle of town, great facilities for guests, room was huge with great views over the city, good for conferences - well organised staff for this, excellent breakfast deals and wonderful food. |

The location of the hotel was good. Hotel staff do not appear to be helpful like the rest of the hotel that we stayed at in NZ. We noticed that across the road at Holiday Inn there is a guest parking area. May be if Grand Chancellor also have similiar facility, it will be more attractive. (The wilson parking is ok, but closed at public holiday which is no good for tourists like us) |
