Good location. Good size unit. Good deal on special rate. Good parking.

Gruby carpet, tired chair, need of upgrade to decor.

The comfortable beds with the great bedding, that it was close to town and the great selection of tv channels.

The flaking paint on the ceiling and the badly marked bedside table and the broken hairdryer.

We enjoyed the heated pool & spa bath. Was close to town. Staff very freindly & helpful.

Probably couldv'e booked a bigger room with kitchen facilities. Couldn't get shower hot enough to get under. Soap, shampoo dispenser over bath couldn't get any out even sfter one of cleaners had a look at it.

Staff was friendly, and we enjoyed a morning swim in the indoor pool. The location to Waikato Stadium was really good as we were in Hamilton to watch a Chiefs game.

Found the room and its decor really dated. Their website states The on- site restaurant, is simply the perfect place for you to relax and enjoy your evenings here in Hamilton. Casual but elegant dining in intimate surroundings awaits at the licensed restaurant. Conveniently located within the complex, offering guests an a La Carte type menu and a comprehensive range of beverages at affordable prices. A selection of local and other New Zealand wines are available to enjoy at your table and your waiter will be happy to recommend a suitable wine to compliment your meal. Restaurant was only avail for breakfast! It would have been nice to go for an evening swim, but pool closes at 8.30pm, and by the time we got back for alternative dinner plans it was too late to have a swim.

We liked the facilities, the location to the restaurant area and the friendly and helpful staff. We also liked the cleanliness of the motel and the spaciousness of the room. It is also a quiet location and easy to access

The bed was comfortable. The cleaning seemed to be good. The shaver plug was useable by the mirror, although it didn't actually work. The special deal was a very good price.

The fittings and bathroom are very run down, and the soap pump was missing a part, so didn't work. The shaver plug didn't work either. It appears nothing has been spent on maintenance for a long time.

Handy to town and sports venues enjoyed swimming pool friendly helpful staff. Place was clean and served function.

Place badly needs an upgrade e.g. New bathroom etc would not grade it as 4 star.

The heated indoor pool was fabulous on a hot day. I loved how quiet the motel was at night. I also liked the location and affordability.

I would have loved my own private balcony. The staff could have been friendlier, I was told they had no rooms available when I wanted to extend my stay and had to go to another motel. I later found they did have rooms available.

Reasonable motel as you travel through Hamilton. All working and functional.

If your room is on the road side, it is noisy.

The price was good, the heated pool was awesome, quiet place to stay sheltered from wind and road noises

perhaps having a room with a lounge suite instead of a extra bed would have been a better choice.

The fan in the room as it was much appreciated in the heat. The accommodation was nice and clean.

Pillows. Flat but 2 no good for the neck. Must remember to pack our own for trips away.

The owner of the hotel was really friendly and really helpful, the room is far more better than i expected, the room also have Sky TV, it was an excellent stay

The reception is weak and unstable, and there were ants in the room.

Good value. The gent at the desk made an excellent eating-out recommendation. He also came out to the room late(9.30pm) when we had an issue with the intercom/radio system. The room was simple, functional and comfortable. We would be happy to come again, and to recommend to others.

Just a minor customer service gripe: I had a discussion with the lady at the desk about my phone causing interference with the room radio system. I tried to point out that the system had no off-switch. She helpfully advised me that there must be something wrong with my phone :)

Location swimming pool and quiet we will be back to stay

I like the friendly service which we always receive when staying there and the rooms meet our needs well. They are always clean and tidy and I enjoy the spa bath especially after travelling and wanting to just relax and unwind.

Everytning was fine!!

Very centrally located, easy to find with excellent friendly and very helpful staff. Room was better than expected for price and very clean. It was also very quiet with no disturbance from traffic noise. Great value for money continental breakfast also. Would definately stay again.

The location, the peace and quiet (where my room was), the new owners, the immense potential if the restaurant could be opened with good food but I guess that would up the price. It must have been beautiful once but I guess expensive then too.

Not being able to cook, but what I would have had to say further I know will be changed by the new owners.

Bedding was old and overdue for replacement, the pillows were badly stained, the other bedding was old as were the carpets. The restaurant did not have any staff, so did not function. The swimming pool area was really unkempt. Would not recomend this hotel to anybody. We actually spent another night in Hamilton at the Kingsgate Hotel, that was cheaper than the Grosvenor and was excellent accommodation at a cheaper price.
