The staff were fantastic. Gym well equipped. lovely heritage building in a central location. Close to gardens, shops and quake recovery points of interest.
Rooms a little hot
Apartment for four people right in the heart of CHCH. Building has been done as apartments from its historic base with great skill and the end result is fantastic in every way.
One bathroom,.... but that's VERY minor.
The great attitude of the people
The devastation around Christchurch
Size, comfort. Good living area, washing machine, bed comfortable. Kitchen good
Tiles in shower needed some cleaning attention.
Clean room, everything was dedicated
reception and staff were just "working" there
Clean & elegant. Big huge comfortable bed in the master bedroom of the 2-room apartment. Well stocked kitchenette. High ceiling in the living room. Friendly staff.
Water suddenly turned cold after the 4th person had showered!! No soap holder in the shower cubicle. Cubicle door opens outward, so water drips on the floor. No line to hang your laundry.
The beds had heavenly duvets, so soft and comfy!
Room was very well appointed, comfortable bed and great kitchen living space.
Noisy in the room in the morning.
Location. Layout. Heating. Breakfast.
The toilet was crammed up next to hand basin--no room to sit.
I enjoyed the "step back in time" the moment I opened the door to the lobby. My kids ran down the hallway calling out, "dad, can we live in a house like this?". What a beautiful building, thank goodness it survived. This is a truly grand hotel.
Not being able to stay for longer.
Rooms were quite, very warm, extremely spacious and very comfortable.
Only negative was that the restaurant was not open in the evening. Unfortunately with Christchurch CBD at the moment we found there was not alot of options to dine out nearby.
The attitude of the staff were great and a real asset- they were only too happy to assist
It was a shame to not have a bar or a kitchen operating at the hotel
location, atmosphere, room
paying extra to park a car I was in room 32 and it was too hot - or too cold - there was no way to ventilate the bedroom all the heat rises up there - no windows opened Andrew Gee , Sydney
location and standard of the rooms and facilities.
normally I wouldnt stay at such an expensive place
The location is great, what really makes this hotel are the staff - brilliant!
+awesome suites! nice beds, 2 TVs one in the bedroom and one in the living-room, clean and tidy. Nice place. Staff a little bit "not helpful" but overall was good.
Water quality of the pool was poor
Lovely character building
Stairs in apartment would be impossible for elderly or disabled to manage. We had to leave our luggage downstairs because too many stairs to carry them up.
After travelling around NZ in a campervan for two weeks it was lovely to stay in such luxurious surrounds. The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole building was well appointed. Great central location.
The night consierge made a mistake in our dinner booking at Cafe Valentino which was unusual as we had written the details down.
Uniqueness of the building and room - different from any hotels we've lived in.
Hot water ran out by the time the 4th person wanted to take a shower (and this was in the morning too). Appreciate if The Heritage look to improve it.
The size of the 2 bedroom apartment was great. Heaps of room for the kids to play & move. The staff were very helpful & friendly. We loved the old world charm & character of the hotel. Very comfortable place to stay.
The restaurant wasn't open for lunch or dinner.
great pool and gym
The beautiful building and rooms, and staff were very helpful, especially Tui and te receptionist at checkin. Thank you!
Nothing. Yes there is still rubble and Chch is not repaired but that is not any fault by the hotel.
Beds were really comfortable, and the rooms seem to have space, not closed in.
Would have liked more utencils in the kitchen to use, like baking dish with lid, oven mitts, tongs & big fork to get chook out of oven tray.
It was central to Christchurch but Christchurch is in ruins. The building was rich in history well decorated, staff were helpful , clean, and we would stay there again
Not anything really
