Allowed us early check-in after long international flight. Excellent concierage service (James) that saved a day when the tour company booked misfiled our reservation and failed to pick us up. Substitute arrangements made within 10 minutes. |

The warmth of greeting and efficiency of staff gave us a positive first experience. Then the excellent service provided by the Porters and Valets added to this. It was a privilege to stay in the refurbished Government buildings and the architectural interest of this facility added a whole new dimension to our stay as we perused the book on its history provided for guests. It was a luxuriously comfortable stay with an excellent restaurant facility available. We dined one evening though we were unable to take breakfast because of other arrangements. |

Fantastic large sized rooms, great bathroom, perfect central location. Thought it was a bit rude that housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30am on a sunday morning and woke us up just to ask what time we wanted our room serviced. And we were checking out that day anyway so it was totally unnecessary to wake us for that. This is something that should've been checked. Even if we weren't checking out, waking us up to ask that is inappropriate |

location of the hotel - within reach of pretty much everything the temperature control within the room wasn't working properly - it went from really cold to really hot then back to cold again. Also the sound proofing of the rooms were quite poor - our room faced the street and it was a saturday night so there were people yelling outside the hotel throughout the night. It woke us up on several occasions because of this. It felt like we had the window open (which was closed) |

It is conveniently located, and the facilities were reasonable. A one bedroom apartment had a double bed rather than something larger. The staff were not accommodating when I asked for a roll out bed to accommodate one of my children; given that I booked 2 one bedroom apartments because no 2 bedroom apartment was available I thought this was unreasonable. We were on the ground floor and there was a lot of street noise. |

The large room and the comfortable bed. Also nice and clean with helpful staff. The TV in the lounge (room 413) had its maximum volume limited. This meant you couldn't have it loud enough to hear a movie. We had to watch the bedroom TV, which wasn't as good picture wise but at least we could hear it! This was annoying. Otherwise everything was awesome. |

The location was my first consideration when choosing this hotel, but I think next time I would not choose a front room or the windows should be double glazed as I could hear all that was going on ate Friday night/Saturday morning. The staff were friendly & helpful. The bed was comfortable and I liked the toiletries that were supplied. The only reason that I marked both hotel staff and cleanliness in the first question as good rather than excellant was due to my room service meal which was not cleared away that night or even when the room was made up the next morning. I had to ring up when I returned the next night to get some one to clear it away. |

Its location (ie centre of Christchurch), friendly helpful professional staff (especially concierge Richard and one of your receptionists (she checked up on our flight from Christchurch to Auckland) I did complete and post a form supplied by your hotel The hot water pressure/flow for our bath was very weak/slow (was reported to Reception but no improvement), the lack of buffet style breakfast |

We had a nice suite that was very spacious on two floors. There was almost everything (kitchen, washer/dryer...). Good location. No air condition in room so it was very warm at night. At night it was quite noisy (normal street noise), probably because of the big windows. |

Staff were extremely helpful, especially the concierge team. the food is excellent. The price of the internet access is excessive when there are internet cafes across the aquare available at a fraction of the cost. The hotel bar has limited opening hours and is vey expensive compared with similar standard hotels locally. |
