The location was peaceful.Very quiet and scenery lovely in Autumn time.It was within walking distance to spa baths and natural pools which were excellent.A little far out of town if you dont have a car.

Rooms were small, no were to sit other than your bed.

For the price, should provide free wifi in the room, location wad a bit isolated and had to drive fir any other non hotel activities.

So new and clean and really nice feel about the whole complex. Large rooms with a nice outlook.

The room was lovely as was the evening meal.

Noise echoing from the pool area and from the walkway below, also had crying baby in the room next door which wasn't pleasant as we could hear it. Also lacked some little touches which we had had at the Novotel in Rotorua the night before eg newspaper delivered to all rooms without having to ask. Most of all the noise from the pool made our holiday not as relaxing as we were hoping.

The room was clean and tidy and the staff friendly and efficient. The location was good.

The parking it was otutrageous to charge $15 for parking. The breakfast was massively overpriced at $35 each. We bought breakfast in a nice restaurant in Taupo for $54 dollars for 3 people. We had a double room and only received 1 chocolate on the pillow. There was no price list for the mini bar.

Lovely room, great service & reasonably priced.

The staff and the ambience of the room with privacy to make them quiet, and the bar/dining staff with exceptional service skills - The food was amazing.

The lack of free car parking facilities available and the disruption of having to find a carpark in the rain and dark twice. However, after 2 searches and expressing to staff that there is still no car parks available, I was accomodated to a free underground car park.

The premises were of a standard you would expect for the Hilton and generally the staff were very helpful and professional.

While we were dining in the restaurant we were served by a male employee who smelt of cigarettes. He had obviously just had a smoke break but it was not pleasant to smell the cigarettes on him while he was serving us. I suggest that he thoroughly washes his hands and use some mints before returning to the restaurant floor.

Two members of the reception staff were extremely helpful, the remainder that we encountered were just doing their job

The Hilton hadnt thought to inform us that The Iron Man was being held in the area and most of the roads were closed so access to the main attractions at Lake Taupo were difficult to say the least. The complimentary shuttle into town was not available even part of the way and wasn't offered as an additional service even though there were 6 of us. The Hilton was supposed to be the luxury stay of our trip of North Island but it failed miserably and cost twice as much as the other hotels that we stayed in during our trip. This is our second attempt at staying with the Hilton but it will be the last.

Our only dissatisfaction was being kept waiting in the restaurant for a table when there were plenty of free tables.

Too many doors to get through to our rooms. Computer system very slow. It took 20 minutes to check out!

spa wasn't working, reason why we booked was to enjoy pool and spa, but pool too cool in the evening and no spa working, so disappointed about this

Besides the high standard of decor, views, best beds, great welcome staff at reception, rooms clean. Very inviting swimming pool, art on display. Like the way the Hilton provides good quality toiletries but not excessive in amount. Pleasure to stay there.

Very efficient at check in, bedrooms were configured correctly as we had requested. We had an apartment on the third floor of the complex so great view over the lake which we really appreciated.

The room was left open . We were relocated to an old section as a result of our room being left open by staff.
