location is fabulous - 100m to bus station and ferry terminal - all cafes etc within 500m - loved our stay at a secure clean friendly place
Friendly staff, great location,spacious room
Room was comfortable with everything we needed.
Must be in the windiest part of Wellington. Walk 5 minutes toward town centre - no wind - weird.
The pool and spa were a definite highlight for myself and my two boys! The free wi-fi was excellent also!
Was close to restaurants and shops. Rooms were spacious and clean and tidy.
Room had a dirty bathroom smell and there was no car park available. (Did not get this offered when booking either)
Nice room, comfy bed, nice people
I wouldn't call it a bad experience, but when we checked out, with about 4 or five other people, there was only one person serving. That made checking out take a long time when we had a car waiting
Excellent staff and the room was great. We were on the 17th floor.
I am frequent guest at this hotel due to its location, but every time I get more disappointed, the rooms they provide when you book through Bookin.com, is a mess, not tidy , curtains falling apart, the bathrooms smell badly, and the reception service terrible, I requested a taxi and they answered saying: they were busy attending more important people, that I should wait until they were finished what they were doing. That is not a way to treat a customer, more when you are a frequent guest. breakfast over expensive for what they offer, I asked for some fried eggs, and they brought them with no presentation in a tiny dish, one on tope of the other, with no presentation at all. They say they are a 4.5* hotel, but far from being one.
Lack of parking and limited valet parking availability.
Staff were helpful room was lovely plenty of room comfortable bed very nice bathroom convenient and easy stroll to wharf train station stadium and shopping malls
Air conditioner didn't work Rydges are a big corporation no excuses and NO free WiFi
Convenient for city centre, waterfront and ferries.
Poor car parking facilities.
Pleasant staff. We had to switych rooms because the AC wasn't working and the staff took care of this in a very efficient manner.
The vioew from the window. I had anticipated a harbor view but instead, we were given a room with a view of an ugly office building.
Fabulous views over harbour. Well designed room. Close to railway station.
The location, breakfast and kids enjoyed the pool/spa
Jug and air conditioner wasn't working and had to request towels for a family of four.
Staff helpful. Room comfortable Great food at Portland
Bathroom very dated and not very clean with dirty splash marks on the glass between the bed and bathroom. Selected a room with a balcony and view, however the windows were so dirty, no view. Very expensive for what we received.
The central location was useful and the lap pool was good
room was very hot the air con had not been left on,son it took a like long time for the room to get comfortable. One of the bed cushions was frayed and holed. One bedside lamp had faulty wiring so the light only worked if you jiggled the cable. The toiletry basket was mouldy and the room was in need of dusting.
Staff incredible friendly and helpful. Fantastic facilities with lovely room
Location was central to all Wellington All staff was nice but one person
Wifi was spotty, valet only parking Room view was horrible, thought our cost deserved better bay view
close to ferry for Picton and also Wellington Train Station
Parking up the road - the car a couple along had been smashed into
Staff were pleasant enough
Overpriced for this quality hotel
Location good, check in easy, wifi access reasonable. Free upgrade appreciated.
Hotel booked via booking.com as last minuet requirement to stay in Wellington. Hotel had a higher rate on my invoice and receptionist was not empowered to immediately make the right decision and charge me the amount shown on my email confirmation. It was all sorted reasonably quickly, but should have been more immediate.
Easy access to and from ferries. Useful valet parking. Easy walking to waterfront dining, Te Papa and cable car.
Very conveniently located if travelling by train.
