It was good value for the money. The parking charge of $25 per night was steep. It's like artificially lowering the room rates, knowing you'll make it up by charging a premium for parking.

The location was perfect the main reason for chosing the hotel. We book a king room but were given a room with two single beds pushed together which was very uncomfortable and we both did not sleep very well and woke with sore backs.

I am sorry I shall use this review for complaints, The staff have at their discretion to allow changes in booking which they declined on a booking which was described as non-refundable. No problem I just wanted to shift dates due to a situation out if my control. Instead they kept my money and have lost a customer for life.

I liked the very handy location to Wellington city. I didn't like the way the room was only partially cleaned and set up on the second night of our stay. Not up to the same standard as when we moved in.

Their service was very unkind, lied, non smiled .... I spoiled my travel at Wellington Ibis hotel because those reasons. I will never go back to any Ibis Hotel in the world again. I will tell my terrible expirence to my friends for their good decision. I have asked for car parking, but receptionist told me I did not apply. So I had to park my car on the road with payment and inconvenience. I have evidence which I booked for my car parking on their parking site.

Location of the hotel was good but thats about it. Will not stay at this hotel again. The hotel staff were very average, I booked a room with a king size bed and got 2 single beds put together. There were also cob webs in the room. The price of the room was reasonable, but the service and facilities were sub standard. I will not stay at this hotel again.

I liked the idea that we didn't have to stay there any longer. Very disappointed in Ibis Wellington compared to Ibis Rotorua. This was certainly not worth the price. There was no parking left for Ibis customer's vehicles & we had to pay $30 for overnight parking at another Hotel. We booked stood behind 1 customer for nearly 10 minutes & Laura didn't once look up to acknowledge us as she tended to the others who were merely asking about places to see around Wellington. It was late & a warmer welcome would have made up for waiting for so long. I liked the waffles & breakfast was nice and the breakfast staff were the best. I didn't like the staff that met us at the counter on our arrival...I didn't like the room. The floor in front of the fridge was sopping wet. The fridge had 3 empty milk tottles amongst the full ones. The booking we made was for a King Size room and yet, it was merely a double sized bed squashed into a small poky room. We found it very hard to get to sleep as the Air conditioning was directly above our ceiling & it was loud & noisy. The room was stuffy. The wardrobe was stuffed & crammed with things we couldn't make use of.

I wish I could say more about it, but I only liked the night staff and the morning waiters/waitress, very polite, efficient and well mannered and well groomed and tidy. I have booked and paid prior to our arrival and was told that, we didnt have any booking, after some discussions with the receptionist she finally found our booking. I also had asked for our carparking space which I booked, was told the carpark was full and can not accommodate our car. She told us there was a free parking from 6 to 8 the next day on panama street. Another disappointment as I feel that the staff should check all aspects of our booking before giving an answer to us. We asked her to check again as I have reserved parking while I made our booking, and she finally found our carpark space. We had a long drive and wanted to freshen up by having a shower only to find that there was no bath matt, towel nor soap or face cloth in our room. Rang reception and they eventually brought us some when they were free. Next day, there was two of us, but only one towel got left behind instead of two. I also didnt like that fact that I have to get a drinking water from the bathroom.

The Ibis was clean and comfortable enough but not at the 4.5 star level in my opinion. Getting a bit tired perhaps E.g stains around base of shower.

Benefited from a half price offer otherwise would have been too expensive. Good location, very helpful staff and close to the main streets and attractions. Comfortable and very clean. It also has a good restaurant for dinner. Poor variety of free TV channels

Great location close to most city attractions. Most staff were professional & helpful. The room was air-conditioned to a very comfortable temperature day & night. Free Sky movie channel was appreciated. The restaurant was open very late which was convenient. The 24 hour snack service was also a nice touch. The first person we encountered at the front desk was a little aloof with us and she failed to tell us we would need to use a key card to operate the lift doors. After going up & down floors several times, another guest who entered the lift showed us we had to remove our key card before the doors would open. The only available computer in the lobby had a virus & could not be used, but a staff member kindly let me use her mobile internet to check my emails.

Mostly the staff were extremely friendly, always said hello when we walked past them in the hall ways. Loved the room, nice and cosy and modern, awesome price too for the location and the overall vibe of the place. The 4am room service totally saved us, after partying all night in Martinborough no food places where open so to have a 24/7 food service was awesome :) Definitely will recommend to others and will be back again! Thanks for a memorable stay :)

Central location and available park within the building. The noise. There was a mechanical noise just outside our room that went every 10 minutes or so right through the night. Also could hear the guest in the room next door. He was very noisy until 2.30 am.

A clean, basic hotel in a good location and excellent value. Car Parking can be relatively expensive at the hotel and it is worth checking local options especially if only parking over night or Sunday

The room's size is much bigger than others IBIS's rooms. The breakfast (nz 21.00 each person) is value for money We found the hotel more noisy than usual. We could hear voices from the next door's room and from the room just above us and also from the aisle.
