Set on the shores of Lake Rotorua, Novotel Lakeside offers luxurious accommodations with lake or city views. It features a day spa, a Maori cultural center, and geothermal mineral pools. Staff we're great, very friendly. The Spa facility was really good. The biggest dissapointment was having a room with an adjoining door to the adjacent room. When you pay for a deluxe king room you dont expect to be able hear the other guests, we had crying children next door, no sleep ins , bit gutted, for over 200+ a night, I expected much better. Also our room had no information on room service, not even a menu, every hotel I've stayed at has 24 hr room service.

Very comfy bed and room. Nice décor and friendly helpful staff No complementary wifi and bathroom could have been cleaner (hairs from previous occupant were left in bath)

Consistency of the Novotel brand worldwide. Booking was made in September 2012 and guaranteed by disclosure of credit card details. Regrettably the hotel then put the charge through ahead of my stay and then did not honour its pledge, as agreed through booking .com to provide a free bottle of wine to compensate.

The hotel is good value for money and quality of service. We have got room with lake view, every morning we enjoyed to wake up and see the lake and flying birds. I only missed balcon but there aren't balcons in the hotel. Location is convininnent, the staff was very helpful. They helped us a lot with transport arrangments to get all rotorua attractions because we haven't driven there. We really appriciated this kind of help and advices. The price for breakfast ia a bit high. I would suggest to decrease it.

Very nice room, large Refrigerator and microwave. Girl at front desk tried to talk us into Maori experience that looks like it's owned by or connected to the hotel. We went to Te Pahi which includes the geysers. We weren't happy that she seemed to know nothing about alternatives outside the hotels site.
