Landmark Manor  

The hotel was ideally situated for the places that we wanted to visit. Also walking distance to a number of places - including some good restaurants and pubs - and felt very safe walking back to the motel at night. We found the motel exceptionally clean & staff lovely!

Form, fit & function of this central motel well suited our needs, especially the space, the king sized bed, good size TV & free, unlimited WiFi access. Pleasantly surprised by quietness at night noting busy road frontage. The hot choc muffins on arrival signalled the friendliness of the managing owners. An excellent choice of accommodation in this port city.

The room was beautiful.

The advertising on the website is a bit misleading. It is not a short walk to the city. Also they should say that it is located on a noisy main highway

The Landmark Manor was within walking distance of the city, gardens and ocean walk. The room was very quiet and spotless. Most impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom, not a speck of mould anywhere.

The friendly and caring wellcome. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. And yes that spa bath was good and relaxing.

Great shower - good water pressure. Lots of kitchen facilities in room. Nice comfortable bed and good furnishings to make it feel a bit more luxurious than we expected. Yummy muffin on arrival! Also good sound insulation which meant the room was much quieter than I thought as right by a busy road.

Service and helpfulness was great.

The managers were lovely people and helped make the stay very enjoyable. the facilities were very clean and well maintained. The studio room is just big enough with great shower pressure.

Next time I will get a bigger room.

Walking distance to town and other venues

We were warmly received and the complimentary muffin was a great touch. The beds were great and we all slept well.The mattress overlay is a winner.The motel was very quiet although situated in the middle of the city.

I was travelling with my elderly mother to see the Taranaki Rhododendron Festival. Landmark Manor was an excellent choice for us - the unit was extremely comfortable, nicely equipped, very good bathroom, TV's, furnishings etc. Also excellent off street parking and we felt our car was very safe and secure. The management team of Marina and Rex were so obliging and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We greatly appreciated their care and helpfulness and would definitely stay at Landmark in the future!
