Carpets are getting tired

The beautiful setting close to Mt Cook, Lake Pukaki and also surprisingly close to Lakes Wanaka and Hawea. Very spacious rooms. Peaceful and quiet. Lovely meals.

Lack of breakfast after large group, was a deciding point, and was only scraps left.

This place caters for tour buses. It was disorganised and badly in need of a major facelift.The furnishings were worn out and the linen threadbare. Extremely disappointing.

Rooms comfortably large and well appointed with 2 large queen size beds. Evening meals are tasty and good value.

Its getting tired. Menu needs an update & is a bit expensive for what it offers. Poppies across road better value. Loose the fairy lights on the fire in bar.

Twizel was close access to Mt. Cook and this hotel was able to house our family of four.

The hotel cancelled our first night due to overbooking. We had booked over two months in advance and were not at all pleased about this. In the end, they found space for us and said everything would be okay. A very dated and tired facility with terrible food. Don't get the buffet!

Location and convenience to the rowing regatta. Spacious room.

I stayed in room 37. Very shabby and dated end of the hotel, a cleaning rag was still beside the bed and water under the tv. Noise from closing/slamming doors was constant and horrendous (returns on the doors would help), noise from flushing toilets above and running showers not ideal, some investment in soundproofing is needed. I would not stay again unless accommodated in the newer end of the hotel which is sunny and a far nicer outlook.

Looks rather tired - could really do with a re-vamp. Pretty much the only hotel in town and lives off the tour bus trade.

Room was comfortable,but bad stain in in bathroom sink. For the price there should have been more milk and a small pack of biscuits in the tea/coffee area in room.We had this in accommodation in Frankton.

Old decor but tidy and clean room.

I dont recommend eating here due to my meal of lamb shanks being so dry and tough. Also restaurant extremely dusty.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The way they resolved a booking mistake was very professional. We enjoyed our stay and would like to thank all the staff that served us so well.

Good lobby decoration, well maintain of old facility

Quite a lot of insect /moth at night, corridor was lots of flying insect as one of door not closed. I closed it anyway. May need to consider to put insect screen door.

I like staying in Motels where they have a restaurant / Bar. Saves so much time in mucking around. Filled in by Cadie Terrell

On the floor in the boys room was broken glass. Some at the sliding doors and some by the luggage shelve. Also the cleaners are not checking under the beds. Or drying the showers down properly. I worked in the Motel Industry for 4 years so I know what to look for when I stay in one. Filled in by Cadie Terrell

Room was clean and had 2 x double beds. The location was nice as you had views of mountains.

We stayed at this Hotel for the purposes of a wedding. Great staff that went the extra mile. Duty manager Tania very much so.

The rooms were tidy and comfortable.

It takes a relatively long period of time for the staff to reply to email queries.

All staff were helpful and smiling. The bar food tasty. The breakfast plentiful and tasty.

The door closers on the outside doors were not functioning as supposed, the doors were slamming. In fact fact quite dangerous, a small child was hit on the heel and it drew a small amount of blood and pain, going through the door. I did report the incident to your receptionist who understood the importance and said that she would report it to the maintenance team.

Park like grounds

Breakfast on Saturday was chaotic. Cooked food was overdone and we had to wait for scrambled or poached eggs to arrive on the buffet.
