Close to all the interesting sights that we wanted to see.
A staff member we spoke with knew the hotel history, how it fared in the quake, what restoration was required, cost, earthquake ratings etc. Very informative and interesting. Just out of the bustle but close, and very close to New Regent St boutiques.
The location of the hotel is great right in the middle of the city center and easy to walk around. The hotel is quite new and very clean.
The room is a bit too small and also the lift. Guests always squeezed into each other.
no vegetarian food
Nothing was an issue
Couldnt re use the boss's credit card when ive already had approval just last month.
The view was very nice from my room and the food very good and plenty to eat
Not a lot of carparking at the moment as of the rebuild ,dont let it put you of thoe
centre located, and quite closed to the intercity coach stop. Rooms/facilities look new.
Limited room size, although it is not a problem to me. Some Reception staff could be warmer.
Comfy bed and pillows. Good shower
Free wifi only available in lobby or public areas it would be much appreciated to have been able to access it in the room even if we had to pay. There was access for a laptop but we only have a iPad and I phone so needed wifi. Good location - however only used this hotel as a stop over. No fault of the hotel but not much around in Christchurch still from the effects of the earthquake.
Breakfast room too small.
Loved being in the heart of the earthquake red zone. Were able to really appreciate the devastation and the number of buildings now gone. But we were still in wandering distance of Ballantynes shop and the container mall.
Limited choice in cafes and restaurants near the hotel but that is the affect of the earthquake and not the hotel's fault. Otherwise no complaints
Location of the hotel, friendly staff and the service
Amazing staff, incredibly accommodating. Excellent food from the in house restaurant and a solid selection of wine. Highly recommend if you need something in the city centre.
Central Location Helpful Staff Top class facilities
Breakfast in Cafe was okay but nothing to rave about!!
Friendly staff, good location in the "city centre", rooms are quite nice (but very small).
Only free wired internet ie. no Wi-Fi in the room and painstakingly slow. Not possible to work on so I had to use my data stick. Also it took about 10 minutes each morning to catch a lift. 2 lifts in a 22 floor building is silly..
Comfort and good cocktails
Breakfast should have been included in my deal, but I had to pay $29.00 x 2 for breakfast which was cold! We were given an upgrade to our room to a deluxe King...very small room awful view. This was a surprise celebration for hubby on his birthday, what a let down
It's in the heart of cbd. Accessible to other establishbments.
The hotel has no open ground/space. They should move to a new location like rydges.
Location was very handy to CBD. Room was nice with a good view of Christchurch. Restuarant meal & staff were excellent.
The restaurant has great food.
The rooms are VERY small, the elevators (only two for many floors) are erratic, small and often packed by the time they reach the lower floors. There is much better value for money elsewhere in the city.
The hotel and rooms were new, nicely designed, with well appointed fixtures. Very comfortable and quiet place to stay. Very safe area to walk around at night. Great to see the recovering in the area from the 2011 earthquake.
There was a lot of damage in this area from the 2011 earthquake, which some people will find sad, but as there has been so much recovery in this area already, this is now uplifting
Location is great and the staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities new and clean.
It was a little noisy
Location was accessible to everything. Staff friendly and helpful. View was good from room. Bed comfortable. Everything needed was in room with good hair dryer.
Great views, Nice lobby area with TV!
No Spa or Pool?
Very clean, nice views and good value for money
No free wifi, so you must use a laptop to use internet. Room was a bit small.
