Filthy room - Blood on bed, food on floor under bed, dirty tissue under cabinet, dirty sox under TV, hair in shower

Good exterior of hotel, good interior at reception. Good location in regards to Rotorua and sights.

Inaccurate description of room online. The lakeview which was inaccurately described online. Somewhat high charge for average quality of room and sub-par view from room.

Pleasant surroundings no problems to report during my stay.

Sugggestion; You had a group of elderly Chinese visitors in the morning dining room for breakfast while I was there after 7.00am. It was a cold morning and some of the party requested to stay inside the dining area not partake breakfast out side due to morning cold. Elderly guests feel the cold and additional attention should be made to this comfort. I did report this to the Day Duty manager on departure that morning. A point to note for all elderly tour groups visiting.with Chinese visitors will complain to the tour guide of the group and not lose face on any matters which they are concerned about or have a complaint. I thought attention to detail was needed here by the staff on duty. Something to consider for the future as positive feedback for quality controls in customer services for the hotel.

Being upgraded to the 5th floor away from all of the children staying in the hotel was greatly appreciated and made us feel special

Nice hotel ,helpfull staff.good price on discount deal and discount price for early dining. Nice room with a good view.

Little slow when booking in at peak time. One bed lamp was extremely bright in our room,and difficult to open door lock with key.

Limited access to internet. It was only provided for free at the lobby for a short period of time. Otherwise, there is a charge.

Nice view, friendly staff, walking distance to spa, and the central town. Entertainment for family

Some maintenance can be done to upgrade the rooms

Spa pools too cold

loved the customer service, the quality of the hotel and meals. The pool and spa was great and very good location.

First day spa was really warm and wonderful, second day a little colder but ok and third day was very cold. It was a shame as we enjoyed the spa. Once staff informed they were quick to attend to it which was great.

Warm, not hot, spa pools (very disappointing), TV that turned itself off, had to be restarted 3 times to get it to stay on. Only 10 stations!

The spa area, and large covered pool was great. The women's changing facilities were very nice, clean and bright. The gym was also clean, and adequate for a good workout and unlike many other hotels the machines were actually working! The bathroom in our room was impeccably clean.

My son did not like the huge anchovies that came with his room service Caesar salad. While they are normal for a Caesar, they were not mentioned on the menu so I assumed they were not included. He couldn't eat any of the salad due to their strong flavour. I mentioned it to reception later the next day after having already paid the final bill, and no refund was offered. I did get an apology though and a promise to amend the menu. This was the only unfortunate incident during our otherwise very enjoyable stay. We will stay here again:)

Smell from thermal place.

1St Night in restaurant waiter was friendly and knowledgable and food was excellent. Hotel spa very good. Lake view room excellent.

2Nd night in restaurant waitress was abrupt. Food arrived on cold plates had to send part back, should have sent all back after seeing someone do this,it felt like we were at a different restaurant. Would expect consistent service in a top class hotel. Check out was slow, banked up, need more staff considering 'had to check out no later than 10am'

Convenient location, room is clean

Safety box not working in two of the rooms we stayed. Also we asked for lake view rooms when we booked but didn't get that

The air con in the room

It's situation. The staff were helpful when asked for advice.

The bathroom above overflowed into our bathroom. Once cleaned up, on the floor, the roof was stilll dripping. We found it uncomfotable going to the toilet when cold water was dripping on us. We found the Hotel a bit like a rabbit warren. It is definitely a family hotel. It took us an hour to programme the tv so that we could watch it correctly , instead of fluoro peopleon the screen.

This hotel was great and by far the best hotel we stayed in during our 3 week New Zealand vacation. The staff was fantastic. My daughter broke her eye glasses and the staff easily directed us to a local optometrist that repaired them for FREE. It was a very good value.

My only complaint about this hotel, and it is a minor complaint, is that the ceiling (which appeared to be wooden) above the shower had a little bit of mildew on it.

Central location, all staff were professionally friendly except the 'boss' in the suit at reception on Friday morning. The bed was very comfortable

Minimal TV channels, strange smell in hallway outside room 2204 - musty, havng to pay extra for a flat white coffee at breakfast (over and above the breakfast rate)

the location of the hotel is fantastic.

within hours of our arriving at the hotel, my companion was covered in insect bites. it was explained to us that it was unlikely to be bedbugs, but then we're unsure what caused the bites, and i'm not sure if that makes it worse of better. we were offered a new room, though, and the staff tried to be as accommodating as possible.

Great place, good size rooms which are tidy and clean. Good meals, value for money, close to eating and shopping.
