Friendly, comfort, such a great place with cheap price.

A bit hard to find, the sign/logo outside the driveway is too small, and the type face isnt so clear and eye catch.

This is the most wonderful place to stay. Superb accommodation in a beautiful garden setting. Our hosts had thought of everything, from the make up remover pads to the tastiest breakfasts. Go and stay here, you won't regret it! A*******

We stayed in the garden cottage which was immaculately clean and equipped. The breakfasts supplied by Lionel and Rob were gargantuan. Mojo the dog was a real sweetheart. Our hosts were splendid. The swimming pool was a real godsend as it was rather warm.

The owners were very kind, helpful and welcoming. I stayed in the cottage in the garden - very cute and with all amentiies. The heated swimming pool set in lovely gardens was great.

Cosy and friendly - the dogs where great. The breakfast was fantastic and more than we could eat in on sitting.

Lionel and Rob were fantastic hosts. We felt warmly welcomed and all our needs were catered for fully. I found both the gardens and house had a delightful ambiance -a real feast for the eyes - and instantly felt relaxed and cocooned here. I had the best nights sleep in the well appointed room. Lionel's cooked breakfast was delicious and the variety of choice on offer was good. They were able to fill us in on some of the remarkable history of the Maori and also gave us excellent recommendations for dinner and sight seeing. I just wish we had longer time with them and around Kerikeri. If we ever get up their way again we will make a point of staying at Moongate Villa. I think they have thought of everything to make their guests enjoy their space from the chocolates and flowers left in the room at bedtime to the superb Living Nature toiletries and handy wifi. My husband enjoyed his dip in the pool as well. Their energy and passion is clearly evident throughout the property.

I personally could not find anything to dislike. I believe Lionel and Rob have created a winning format with their operation and wish them every success.

A high need by the operators to provide a top level of service and comfort. We would stay again. If breakfast is important .......theirs is the best in the business.

No restaurant within walking distance. So what !!!.

The ambience of the room, the beautiful gardens and sound of birds and the amazing Lionel

Set in garden surroundings with a deck that would be lovely to use in the summer. Had a lovely warm welcome and a nice breakfast pack was provided - more than we needed to eat, but a nice treat! Owners were very helpful. The cottage is immaculate and very comfy and cosy (it was winter, so the heat pump was much appreciated). Plenty of room to move around in. Everything was provided that a person would need if they wanted to cater for themselves rather than eat out. Nice, quiet, private and we would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Our cottage was lovely as where the grounds and Rob and Lionel were perfect hosts and lovely people. The service was amazing and we could not fault anything, will be back again.

The rooms were immaculate. Breakfast was fantastic with freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants and a cooked breakfast to order. Lionel (our host) was very accommodating and recommended places for dinner in town.

Lionel cooked us an awesome breakfast. Privacy was lovely. Our own little pool area. Had an awesome stay. Thank you Lionel & Rob for your awesome hospitality. :)

The staff were so super friendly and had lots of tips for where to go and what to do. The gardens were AMAZING and wonderful to walk around. The bed was the most comfortable i have ever slept in! The pool was the perfect temperature too.

Beautiful setting. Delightful cottage. Very accommodating hosts. Beautiful breakfast basket supplied.

A bit of a challenge to find spaces for suitcases, especially since living out of them, but a good place to stay nonetheless. Could have used a bit larger covered pan for cooking on hot plate, larger covered microwave dish for cooking vegetables, and a cover for the skillet. But otherwise really a nice place to stay.
