Cooked breakfast, location and great building set up. We only stayed one night but would be very comfortable for longer
Everything really, ML is very comfortable & clean We also had dinner at ML prepared by our hosts which was excellent & by the sound of it much better than any of the local restaurants The request for Gluten Free food was also sorted par excellence If you get a chance, do the Flaming Rocks tour, it's a fab walk with Merv & quite something when you get there (As it was my wife's birthday, Merv had also taken along a Gluten Free cake & candle in addition to the Pancakes - a fab touch)
Over-all experience was superb...owners make you feel right at home, and would recommend this place to anyone who was contemplating staying in the Murchison area..
Could not fault anything..
Merv and Shirley are a lovely couple, welcoming, helpful and good company. The house is superb, and is located in a quiet area - great night's sleep, and the town's restuarants are within a few minutes walk. Natural Flames a bonus!
The domestic animals on the property, pigs, sheep, chickens
Friendly family people. Greeted with delicious homemade Anzac biscuits and tea, and a wonderful homecooked meal. We hope to go there again.
Good location. Very personable service. Tea and buscuits on arrival. Good local knowledge
Great place, lovely environment, beautiful lodge, caring and kind owner. Breakfast from homemade bacon, fruits, cereals. Great stay.
On the upper side of the price spectrum
Lovely building in tranquil setting. Merve and Shirley were great hosts. Great breakfast.
Merve and Shirley were outstanding hosts, greeting you immediately with nibbles and drinks. A lovely long chat made us feel so very welcome there! The lodge is beautiful, each room unique with Merve's artistic touch and Shirley's attention to detail. Beautiful views, incredible food-snacks, optional dinner and breakfast (Merve's a great cook; Shirley a wonderful baker!) and The Natural Flames hike was so unique and beautiful! We highly recommend that hike to complete your visit.
Everything. Very very highly recommended, including the tour to see the natural flames - a must.
Great stay with very hospitable hosts. The half day excursion to Natural Flames is well worth a visit.
Everything! The location is perfect overlooking the river which you can walk down to (beautiful) and our hosts were kindness itself. Nothing too much trouble. We had dinner and breakfast there all home cooked and it provided a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. The room was fab and all home comforts were on hand. Would highly recommend this to anyone
The location near the centre of a charming, small, rural town is excellent with open views to the mountains. The hosts are very welcoming and prepared to stop to chat or help with enquiries at any time. We only had breakfast but we saw other guests having evening meals, which looked excellent. Tea, cake, drinks and biscuits are always available. We strongly recommend going on the forest treck to visit the natural gas flame that burns continually at a secluded location out in the forest and have tea and pancakes cooked by Merve with the heat. He has good knowledge of the flora and fauna of the forest and points out things that you are unlikely to see or know about on your own. Murchison is especially worth a visit for it's mixture of old world charm and modern facilities.
Nothing at all !
We enjoyed every moment of our 2 day stay. Merve and Shirley are the most friendly hosts one would wish for. They created a most relaxing atmosphere in their B&B. The food was excellent. Mostly own produce. Their home cooking was a delight. We had 2 dinners, in addition to the included breakfasts. Do not miss the hiking tour to The Flame, guided by Merve and or Shirley! It is a unique adventure!
