the check-in was excellent. the woman who checked us in was so very pleasant, but all the reception staff were pleasant, helpful and obliging. the service in hippopotamus was seamless, top-notch and the food great. a very pleasurable stay altogether. wished we could have stayed longer.

the lights in room 216 kept on dimming and then brightening - a faulty dimmer switch perhaps. made it dark in the room.

Poor attitude of staff to problems. 'Appartment' small compared to other regular hotels stayed in in Wellington. $2 for buiscuits, really?

Clean and comfortable rooms, great facilities, good for business and family

Bath was huge, shower great with the option of both monsoon or regular shower heads, bed massive and very comfortable. Awesome location, wanted to go for a harbour view room but left it a little late to book, all taken!

Staff were polite and helpful but could have been a little friendlier

Very spacious apartment. Bath was wonderful. Great to have cooking facilities.

Found old sock under bed which was a bit off putting.

Great location. The Restaurant and Bar are fantastic. Always receive great service. I always try to stay there if travelling to Wellington.

I loved the design features of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and professional. The location is great - close to attractions and a supermarket, restaurants etc.

The hotel room I was given was small and the basin in the bathroom was cracked and in a poor state. That room was overpriced in my opinion. The hotel staff happily relocated me to a much nicer roo in the apartment side.

The decor was stunning, service superb, art fascinating, location fabulous for walking to cafes, bars , restaurants; the HIPPOTAMUS restaurant was stunning - food deliciously, service beyond reproach, a wonderful spoil

Electic kettle didn't work

We absolutely loved our stay at The Museum Hotel and didn't want to leave. I read so many varying reviews on the hotel before making the booking and after staying here can confidently say that it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. I don't know what other people can complain about. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our one bedroom apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully serviced each day. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room very quiet... Great for light sleepers. My daughter was there for a ballet competition and was able to make use of one of the conference rooms for practice, free of charge. The artwork was amazing and the decor beautiful. The motel was conveniently located and within easy walking distance to the main attractions of Wellington. We would love to return.

Litter bin in bathrom had not been emptied. Cleaning cloth left in wardrobe. Air conditioner very noisy

Great location, fantastic hotel except for my room,

Reception stall at checkout surly. I was waiting for the question " how was your stay" it never came neither did any communication. If asked, I would have said my room was overlooked by the swimming pool so that I had to keep my curtains closed at all times. I would have appreciated having had that pointed out to me at check-in, with an option to change.

Love the rooms, decor & quiet.

Checkout process is lengthy. 20 minutes to check out - frustrating. I'm sure they can do it better - other hotels can.

Every thing especially the bikes

They moved my car as soon as I moved in and had to be showin down the road to where my car was to get other luggage out
