The room was spacious...free dinner...free breakfast...awesome location :D
Friendly staff, good location, big dorm, good bathroom and showers, some free food and so son. Everything at a reasonable price. The best backpacker I stayed in NZ.
This place was awesome and for a backpackers the private rooms were high quality hotel standard. Clean, warm, friendly and right in the thick of things.
Good location, with good facilities and plenty of staff. Only down sides are no parking for more than 30 minutes for at least two blocks, only paid underground public parking and avoid at all costs, rooms on the lake side of the hostel, as the alley there contains numerous loud clubs. So if you get one of these rooms, either be prepared to party all night, or bring earplugs and earmuffs. Later in the week, the noise is phenomenal! Otherwise, a good, friendly hostel.
Noise and no parking......
Good amenities, great location, well presented room, helpful staff
Very helpful and accommodating. Allowed us to leave our bags there the night before our stay as we were going on an overnight cruise.
kitchen, location, bed, lift, laundry
no free wifi. you can't adjust room temperature on your own, must ask reception.
Relatively new hostel from the looks of it. Facilities are updated and pretty spotless. You have your choice of a number of different accommodations. I think they put single rooms on the fourth floor. A really great place to stay if you're looking to rough it at a very affordable price. Also, great location in the center of Queenstown. I would definitely stay here again.
Like any hostel, there's going to be some interesting activities going on at night. In my 4-bed dorm, people were coming and going up until 2am, which is actually not that bad. I heard people in the hallway causing a ruckus around 5am one night. The doors are not soundproof, so that wasn't fun. Oh, and they blast obnoxious music in the hallways throughout the day.
Nice and modern, very clean and excellent location
It's near de bars area so it's a little be noisy at night
The staff are awesome and friendly. It is completely central and next to burgers and bars so who could ask for more. I liked the 5 min walk to the catch the mountain bus also. Stayed twice now and highly recommend.
It would be good to have towels supplied as think they were the other times I have stayed. Great place so can't find fault.
proximity to the lake and the Queenstown mall free breakfast and dinner good internet/ wifi deal
noise from the nightclubs in the adjoining street/ lane
The wifi was a bit disappointing...
paying for internet
Big room, view from the balcony, cozy common area
atmosphere, small kitchen, too many people for just one kitchen, unfriendly staff
everything in there very nice. Clean and tidy.
a little bit noisy
Friendly staff. Location. Comfortable size room and bed.
Exhaust fan in bathroom runs non stop and not able to be switched off. Makes it hard to sleep. Unable to control temperature on heater/air conditioner. No free internet. Have to pay a bond for a poor hair dryer. No parking included.
Spacious rooms and really clean. Massive hostel! Lots of events organised by the hostel with discounts and incentives for guests. Also had FREE breakfast and DINNERS!! Great party hostel and easy to meet new people. There was always a buzz of people around.
There's heaps of bars and clubs nearby so lots of noise comes in throughout the night when you're trying to sleep on weekends. The hostel is also really really big so it get quite busy in the kitchen and living areas.
The free dinner some nights a week was a good bonus. Although usually a small portion it was actual proper food, not just soup. Get there early though as the queue is ridiculous! Getting a free breakfast is good too, although it's only bread and spreads. The TV room was great when I got ill (there seemed to be flu going round the hostel) although it's incredibly annoying having to go all the way down to reception to get them to put on a DVD. They should get an intercom system put in or something. The kitchen was reasonable although quite small for the number of guests. However, with the free dinner, there aren't usually a lot of people trying to cook. The bathrooms were reasonably clean. My bed was comfy enough for a hostel. There is a lift to all floors.
Having to go down to reception to put a DVD on to watch in the TV room up on the first floor. Only being allowed three hours sleep and people being sick on the balcony because my roommates were partying and messing about till 5am. Although that's mostly not the hostel's fault.
Dinner and breakfast included
Very busy and noisy, beds are not comfortable, very young party people
The staff were generally quite nice & helpful especially Emer & Kaz. The location was also excellent.
The room could have been cleaned more frequently and on these occasions a better job should have been done. Surfaces were not wiped down even on the days that sheets were changed.
Clean, tidy, and very comfortable. The facilities are pretty good, pool table and table football, free breakfast of toast in the morning is pretty good too! The location is excellent, except when you want to sleep!!!!
The noise from the pubs an the clubs goes all night! Our room was at the back and the music from the pubs and clubs could be heard until about 4am! Even on Sunday! This meant I had 3 nights poor sleep
Sauna, large lounge, nice kitchen, breakfast and dinner provided.
Uncomfortable beds, rooms felt unhomely, not the friendliest of places.
Getting no sleep.
Loved the staff positive (can do) attitudes
Our room faced an alley which housed a number of nightclubs. From Thursday - Saturday night it got a little loud, therefore could not sleep as well.
