Location to CBD and wharf area
Comfort of bed
Great views from the 24th floor apartment overlooking the harbour with balcony and well equipped kitchen
Bedrooms on the small side - wifi was very limited and quite expensive
The view on the harbour from my tiny apartment.
The apartment was cramped for four people with tiny rooms and a primitive bathroom. Old and damaged interior. Painful bed. Busy staff not friendly. Position in red light district not suitable for women or children.
Bathroom shocking design. Lounge suite dated and uncomfortable. No air conditioning that I could find. Dated operation for vehicles. Very expensive but was ONLY hotel available. Shame because amazing location.
BROKEN BED 5 BED WAS A ROLL AWAYAND WAS BROKEN
Great room, very tidy, staff were friendly and helpful.
We had a lot of stuff to take up to our room, and wondered if they had a trolley of sorts? We didn't ask, although to the desk staff did see us lugging heavy bags. Would be nice if there was a luggage trolley available without needing to ask for it.
Position was good.
No soap holder in shower.
Location was outstanding just off the main road and close to the harbour, clubs, shops, transport etc. Great views Safe location
The place is a little old and drab There is no full length mirror in the whole place
Location is good.
It have been better if there is slippers there.
Your toilet flushing system is a Disgrace! I stayed at VR hotels many times before but will not anymore .
Great view of the Harbour. Good Gym and Pool. Close to Restaurants, etc., for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Close to City sights, etc., for sightseeing/events.
The Clothes Dryer was difficult to operate at times due to the Door not closing properly. The Bathroom floor got absolutely soaked whenever somebody had a shower. The Sliding Door onto the Balcony was difficult to slide open or closed.
The location is excellent. Our view was fantastic. We did hear a lot of street activity but that is to be expected due to hotel location. Would definitely stay again.
Heard a lot of street noise even though we were on 17 floor. But not a major
Great location in downtown Auckland City. Easy access also to airport transport.
Very tiny room and bathroom; think this could have been the same for all rooms.
Was great value for money and right in the center of the city. Bus stops and train station in walking distance. Nice appartment with swimming pool and gym.
Maybe a room higher up for better views. There was a hole in the curtain and a light bulb not working in my room but wasn't too fussed.
Everything within walking distance , great view
Got there early & couldn't get in until 2pm why we didn't know as the unit wasn't very clean dirty windows, fridge etc.
Location & view
Very noisy on Saturday night -music & shouting from nearby nightclubs
Close to harbour and ferry
Booking.com listed the room as two bedroom with two bathroom, but actually only two bedroom and one bathroom.
Excellent views, spacious apartment, clean and comfortable, great central location. Staff were also very helpful.
Got a room on the 36th floor, fantastic views across the city and harbour. Apartment style much more relaxed than a generic hotel room, at a cheaper price. Would recommend.
Bed was a bit soft, lifts a bit slow, but overall a good hotel,
good location, laundry included, clean and comfortable
Only sheer curtains in living area where 3 person slept. Did ask re drapes but no response.
Auckland Harbour Oaks was well located for an event at Vector Arena, and had an amazing view of the harbour. It was quite good value for money for a group.
More mirrors in the bedrooms are required (near to power points). There were only the mirrors in the bathroom, which means that they were unavailable when the bathroom was in use.
Proximity of where we were going.
Having to pay $25 a night for car parking. Only hotel I have ever stayed in that I have to pay for car parking. First day room got service 2.45 approx. and we just getting ready to go out so just got towels and top of coffee etc. Second day we went out at 11am got back at 1pm and room had not been serviced. Went out again at 1.45pm and asked at reception about the room being serviced and was told it would be at 2.00pm got back at 9.30pm room had not been serviced and the towels where still wet on the floor. Went to reception and was told the housekeeping had finished, so I told them they would have to do it. Very reluctantly brought up clean towels and coffee etc. Most of the staff had English as a second language and were at time difficulty to talk to. Wouldn't stay again.
Close to everything, walked everywhere.
Would have liked to have tissues, face cloths and a full length mirror in the room.
Location was perfect!!! Walking distance to Vector Arena, Queen Street and the Viaduct.
We felt the rooms needed face cloths, tissues and full length mirrors as women like to see the overall look or themselves. Very minor things but would just top it all off nicely.
