We reserved a room at 119 on Georges B&B for two nights, on our way from Taupo to Wellington. What we actually wanted was to have a relaxing stay after a long trip full of activities and, indeed, at 119 on Georges we got exactly what we wanted! Both owners (Peter and Wendy) are the loveliest people we ever met. From the first moment we had the feeling as we are at our own home and we know both of them since years! They had an answer to all our questions and made our stay just perfect. We got tips for restaurants, activities and sightseeing. Our room was very comfortable and had an en-suite private bathroom. The bed was very comfortable; exactly what we needed after a long day through Tongariro National Park! We definitely return and recommend the place!
We liked everything!
We were made very welcome by Wendy and Peter, who were also very helpful with a few tips for our drive up from Wellington. We had a lovely room along with access to tea and coffee facilities in a small lobby outside our room. Don't be put off by the fact this B&B appears to be on a main road - it is well set back and we didn't hear any road noise. We took the offer of eating in the evening with our hosts which made us feel even more at home. We can thoroughly recommend this B&B
We used the guest house as a stop over on our way to Wellington. It had everything we needed. Lovely freindly atmosphere
Lovely people, lovely home.
Nice, comfortable room. Glass of wine with Peter and Wendy on the day of arrival. Breakfast was great too.
The proprietors, Peter and Wendy are warm, welcoming and helpful. As I have a bad back it really appreciated Peter's help unloading our suitcases from the car. Peter's breakfasts leave little to books that they had read.desired and he accommodated our individual preferences perfectly. Wendy Is a great conversationalist and my wife particularly enjoyed chatting with her about books they had read. Overall, with just 2 rooms, a great little B&B.
Not really a major issue, they do not take credit cards, so one has to remember to have the cash available at checkout.
Spaciousness of the room and bathroom, general homely feel and comfort. The hosts were generous in their help and knowledge.
Very helpful hosts who gave very good recommendations of places to see and restaurants. A most comfortable room - I loved the window seat!
Excellent hosts Great breakfast Lots of info Wonderful cosy room
Friendly and hospitable hosts. Couldn't have been more pleasant. Around the corner from city centre
From the moment we walked in the door everything was brilliant. A truly warm greeting, every comfort we could could possibly wish for to make us feel home from home.Wendy and Peter went the extra mile to ensure our stay was just perfect. The bed was truly comfortable, choice of pillows. Wendy ensured the room was warm but not overheated ,electric blanket on if we wanted it. Great ensuite with super shower. Our breakfast was delicious best poach eggs we've ever had and don't mention the bacon mmmmmm! Thank you so much for a perfect stay
Totally enjoyed my stay. Friendly hosts. The nibbles and breakfast was delicious. The room was clean, warm, comfortable and quite. I felt very welcomed and rested after my stay.
I had a great stay. Would come back and recommend to others. Thanks so much Wendy and Peter.
We had a very quieit room which was beautifully decorated.. The owners offered us a glas of wine in the evenings and we had nice chats with them. The atmosphere was very familiar. . By car the center of town is only a few miutes away We higly recommend this lodging.
Excellent B&B Peter and Wendy are wonderful hosts! Breakfast was excellent and wine hour in the evening a lovely touch.
Our hosts were most welcoming and provided valuable insight into what to see and do in the area.
Wendy and Peter are very nice and friendly. It was lovely to share a glass of wine my first night with Wendy and Sarah (their other guest). I was there for a quick visit to Napier so it felt kind of rushed. Totally my fault for trying to smash too much into a short trip. I had hoped to borrow their bike but that didn't work out. Wendy gave great food recommendations and recommendations on what I should do in Auckland. Devonport was an excellent idea! So was the dam!! Actually the dam was one of the best things I saw. So cool! Breakfast was amazing too. Way too much food for me, but again that was my fault for not specifying the night before.
It was a little far from the water and town centre. Luckily I had some friends to walk me home after dinner. But the home is lovely and hosts are great.
Very nice welcome, very friendly people. We felt home rightaway. Splendid breakfast.
Friendly hosts. Breakfast amazing. Cocktail hour with hosts Walk to town center Use of pool
Fabulous, friendly and helpful hosts and free use of good bicycles
Really, really friendly& considerate hosts who did everthing to smooth our stay in Napier. They know the area intimately & therefore are able to recommend locations, experiences, eateries & anything else that you care to think of. Sundowner poolside drinks & nibbles with hosts & other guess is a great touch. Breakfast is great for choice as well as being very social Convenient for the attractions of Napier Town
Extremely lovely place. We arrived late afternoon and we were invited to take a swim in the pool and then to join the hosts for wine and tidbits. It was a great time. The room was great, breakfast excellent. Would definitely recommend this place.
Nothing not to like.
The hosts Wendy and Peter were both very welcoming. They served drinks and apps on arrival and a lovely full breakfast or continental style as well. They were very eager to please making recommendations for touring the area. The accommodations were well. appointed. Highly recommend.
Great welcome from Pete and Wendy . Warm hospitality and did everything they could to help us during our stay.
Wendy and Peter were excellent hosts giving excellent advice and going that extra mile with all they did
