The bathroom was good, especially the shower. Room 18 needs refurbishing asap!!. Bed quite firm and old. The mattress protector didn't fit the bed. Carpet, chairs and couch disgusting. Needs new plates etc. Needs a new TV and cabinet. Sure does need some TLC!.

Free but limited wifi. Free parking. We could easily board a bus (outer limits) to the city (CBD / downtown) for Skycity and back. Close to a supermarket. None.

Location was great for work function I was attending at Alexandra Raceway. Tea ups too small for a large volume drinker - a couple of coffee mugs too would have been good. Mini bar stock needed to be checked more often for expired dates.

The beds were very comfortable, The room was a great size The room was not that great for young children to sleep in as the sky dome made it hard to get them to sleep during the day and also early evening. The spokes on the roof may also have been unsettling for them. I would suggest also adults would find the light coming through the dome at night effected their sleep. Some form of blind perhaps?

Close to most things The domes in the roof the light came in could not get any sleep any night it was not good we are on holiday and feel like we had no rest at all get curtains for the domes trust me they are not romantic at night or in the morning even our friends staying in the room above shifted to the knights down the road and yes it was much better if we had not gone to the bay of islands for 2 days we would have moved too

The location of the accommadation in relation to the conference I was attending. It was handy to shopping the beach front and all amenities that I required The quietness. Although it is situated on a very busy road it didn't affect me in the least

The Manager was friendly and cheerful. It is a very convenient location when attending an event at the asb Showgrounds in Auckland. There is an amazing Thai restaurant just around the corner - about a 3 minute walk. Undercover parking was great as it was raining. Fairly inexpensive tariff. Terrible cell phone reception - perhaps because it's a concrete building. There was no hot water on the second morning - probably because a lot of people were trying to use the shower at the same time. When I mentioned the lack of hot water to the Manager I was simply thanked for drawing it to their attention. The decor is very dated.

I liked the lay-out of the Hotel and the room had a point of difference with the sky-light windows. The double bed was old, soft and uncomfortable. We found a couple of live bed bugs in the room.

The bed was comfortable & the shower worked well, when I signed out in the morning the repectionist was very efficient and when I asked for directions to a good coffee shop she explained where I could get a real expresso coffee & gave me a discount card, very nice gesture, however the Coffee shop was not open, I guess not the entirely her fault but I would expect when she gave advice that she would be more correct in future Some of the curtains were broken, the room heater could not work as the power plug had been removed & as a result the room was cold, the towel rail and many tiles in the bathroom were broken & had clearly been broken for quite some time. The room & bathroom were full of old cobwebs albeit on or near the ceiling but certainly detracted from the look of the place Also the instant coffee provided was the worst that I have ever tasted to the point where I spat it out in the sink. I certainly expected far better from their own description of the place The traffic was quite noisy for Sunday morning, so I dread to think what it would be like weekdays
