Good clean value for money motel. Good food. Friendly staff. Not a particularly good location but very close to Shanty town which is well worth a visit.

The location - 8 kms out of Greymouth. Paroa is also the place where my wife grew up and where some of her family still reside. It was a nostalgic visit. The motel units are of a good standard and the bar, conference and restaurant facilities are excellent. Food is very well prepared and reasonably priced. Management friendly and efficient. Would recommend to others.

The staff were really friendly and the host Bernie Monk was a courteous person. The bed in the living area was a bit saggy because it was used alot.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to visit. the room had a private terrace with a sea view across a lawn which we did not expect. It was very quiet and comfortable. We ate at the Paroa Hotel and the food and service were excellent.
