I really loved the piece and quiet. Especially the privacy. We could see nothing but farm land and we would never have known if anyone one else was at the resort. Which is exactly the sort of break we where after.
Wifi connection was inadequate. But this was apparently being dealt with. Also an espresso machine at the breakfast would have awesome.
Our lakeside unit was very thoughtfully designed and we could not fault it. Loved being able to light the gas fire to warm up at night. Good restaurant on site. Would love to stay again!
Location, peacefulness and quality of the accommodation, added luxury of the supplied bathrobes and slippers and a great breakfast
Small TV, could feel the join in the bed mattress, not enough space in dinning room to enjoy the buffet breakfast comfortably
Great breakfast! Very comfortable, Cosy Accomodation and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Even though they claim that wifi is available throughout the property, itwas virtually nonexistent.
We have stayed several times at Peppers Parehua and always found it comfortable. The staff have always been happy and accommodating. We will stay again.
The only thing I didn't like were the beds which were a little too firm for our liking.
Great staffs and comfortable bed
The staff were all exceptional in their service. The grounds were stunning and the breakfast was to die for!
We liked the accommodation although it was very cold when we arrived. It would have been so nice if they would have heated up the cottage. Breakfast was good as well and we enjoyed the electric blankets which we really needed the first night
Now heating in the bathroom, so very cold. the shower was good but the water kept running into the bathroom as there was no glass door.
This is a really special place. The cottage was beautiful - very private. We found ourselves just wanting to spend time there rather than exploring!
The bed was extremely hard. We are used to firm beds but this was extreme.
We stayed at the Winemakers Cottage. Very nice, loved the heated bathroom floor and the fire. Very lovely cottage. Very comfortable. Great breakfast included was so enjoyable.
Friendly and accommodating staff. The grounds are lovely, very well set out, and the accommodation in the cottage exceeded expectations, very comfortable with quality furnishings. Dinner and breakfast in the Pavilion Restuarant was also of a high standard. Our stay for two nights more than met our needs for a quiet break away. Would definitely stay again.
WiFi was only free for 15 minutes. Most hotels and motels now offer free Wifi and considering the the quality of Peppers Parehua I would expect free WiFi for at least an hour at a time.
Birds, privacy,Martinborough is stunning location & place to be.
We arrived on Friday night at 7.45pm in the dark. Reception was shut. An envelope was posted on the door for us along with another guest who had not arrived. We had no idea of where our cottage was. We had to ask a restaurant staff member who wasn't very helpful. We struggled to find the cottage as the numbers were so poorly lit. I had to get out of the car & shine a torch to find it in the end. Reception should have been open, even if not manned. The Manager lives on site so a buzzer could have brought him & we should have been guided to our cottage. There is also no dedicated parking & we could not get near to our cottage on the 2nd night as the next door cottage's car was parked across our entrance.
LOVELY PLACE TO STAY
Good place to go and relax, enjoy a fire setting (gas) but still great, a spa plus outdoor hot tub even got a nice nana nap in. Total relaxation and great place to recharge. Used the restaurant, food was great and staff very friendly and helpful.
No complaints at all great place.
A great retreat. Set in a quiet country setting. Very well thought out cottage with everything you might need. Add bonus of a restaurant on site with fantastic food.
How great it is to have high quality wine and water glasses to use. Plenty of them as well. Very comfortable bed and bedding and comfortable lounge furniture.
Need to take extra care with cleaning of toilet - think the water in the area is very hard and toilet was marked because of it. Good scrub with janola usually fixes this problem. Bathroom was very clean and sparkly - let down by this detail.
Peace, privacy, friendly staff, excellent accomodation
surcharge for paying by credit card, haven' seen this for last 10 years!
The heating in the room, the spa bath, the breakfast buffet, the friendly staff... everything!
The pool being closed in the Winter months
Quiet country setting in the heart of wine country. The individual units provide a real sense of solitude and the views to the west towards the Tararua Ranges are wonderful.
Staff really look after you there, so welcoming and friendly.
Absolutely beautiful cottage, no expense was spared in making it a complete luxury stay. Everything down to the fully equipped kitchen, spa tub, fire, bed linen and furniture- it was all perfect.
There was nothing I didn't like
Excellent room facilities. Effectively a fully furnished one bedroom apartment. Wood deck with hot tub. Fully stocked mini -bar. Full breakfast in bed room service. Staff indulgent with requests.
Nothing to fault really.
Beautiful interior designed rooms
Zipped together king size beds are very uncomfortable for couples
Great location and amazing room. Felt so cozy sitting by the open gas fire. Tennis court and pool looked great - will have to come back when the weather is better to use them. Lovely friendly staff.
Noisy neighbours at 1am - getting in and out of their car. Not the fault of Peppers of course.
