handy to all amenities
WiFi was a bit too slow for a teenage boy
very quiet, and private. open veranda that overlooks the shopping centre.
The upgrade service and location
The location, free wifi and the TV
Pleased with the friendly service from Kent and his team. The location is great too.
Good proximity to Ferry and shops. Manager was friendly.
Unit was quite run down. Large hole in wall behind one of the beds. Basic facilities. Too many beds for size of room. Basically in need of a good makeover
It was the first time I had been given the code for the free wifi at check in and it is the first time in a long time that I found everything so clean including the great bed. The owner and staff all were so helpful, would stay again.
location friendly staff clean new, clean bathroom wifi sky tv
The staff were friendly and welcoming. Right in the middle of town but not noisy.
Unfortunately the shower is dated and in fact hazardous due to the high step up/down. My son with poor depth perception and my old bones found it hard to get into and even harder to get out.
We liked that you accepted our dogs in the ute.
This motel is a stone's throw from the ferry. Very friendly helpful owners and super spot to stay. Right in the centre of town. You just drive off the ferry and around the corner and you are there. Brilliant. We stayed 2 nights - went up to Golden Bay - then back for a night so had 2 different rooms. Ask for ground floor as there isn't a lift and our room on the ground floor had a table and separate kitchen where as the room we got on our second stay didnt have the table or separate kitchen. Fab breakfast coffee shop opposite although you can prepare food in your room Fresh choice and supermarket up the street for stocking up.. Also brilliant fish and chip shop on the street behind if you prefer something quick. We checked out the town museum that is run by helpful informative enthusiasts. Quaint and full of interesting photos and info on whaling and its past. The town is a great base for the wineries - we went to St Clair - gorgeous modern well run restaurant cafe with superlative wines. Also went on a beachcomber mail boat tour for an afternoon. Do this if you like to get info on the history of the place see some of the beautiful inlets. Our tour run by Jason an ancestor of the local Maori... possible the best commentary we have ever had on a tour and we have been on a lot. Picton is a sweet place during the day but nothing after dark except a handful of restaurants.
Had a little trouble with the WIFI initially on a 2 day visit but when we returned it sorted itself. Would be nice to have a lift to the second floor as had cases but not really a deal breaker.
The hosts were very nice and friendly, took us from the ferry duck and back for free.
The staff were excellent we initially only stayed one night but because the service and room was excellent we decided to book a further 2 nights on our way home, they were very accommodating and managed at short notice to book us in. They were extremely helpful and advised of great places to eat and even got a discount. Great location for New Year's Eve and ferry. Would definitely recommend to our friends and family
Great location near to port and centre of picton
wonderfully helpful staff
It did everything that was necessary, good location, friendly staff, good food next door, and they played good music. (60's & 70's rock)
Not sure where the outlook photo was take from.
Price and locatio
wiFi was very slow
Really friendly, helpful owners. Great location with easy access to shops, restaurants and the harbour.
It was clean and not too dear.
Great to have an after hour key return to catch the ferry but I did have an expectation of being able to reach someone in an emergency, in my case a cell phone left in the unit half an hour before the ferry sailed. There was several phone calls and much door knocking to get a complaining manager/owner at about 5.45am. Also the picture does not match the location, no view of the water, actually in main street of town.
I liked the fact that it was close to restaurants and shopping.
We had one double bed and 2 singles in the lounge. So, we had our 17 year old twins sleeping with us. They failed to inform us that this was going to be the situation. The photo on the webpage is completely misleading, no such thing! The saving grace for our whole trip was the fact that we didn't have to spend much time in the motel. An overall lousy experience! Will never go back there again!
the large size of motel unit.
lack of parking area.
Excellent reception staff, showed us to our room. Very helpful about the local area - couldn't do enough for us. Bed comfortable slept loke a log.
Wifi connection slow. Kitchen could do with a little updating.
Great location and well equipped accommodation
None of the rooms have sea views although the online information gave the impression of waterside location. Our 'deluxe' studio was adequate rather than deluxe.
Beautiful clean updated rooms...
That there wasn't any hot chocolate :-(
