We had our own cottage, with a young family it was great to have our own space and it was an easy walk into town. The beds only had thin quilts with no extra blankets in the cottage, it was a bit cold.

Nice staff, nice room and ample parking. Very decent place. The only problem was the bed bugs that left us with some itchy bites and it wasn't Mosquitos (very cold at the time). Get this sorted and the management have a great place.

The staff was really nice and friendly, they helped with everything we have asked for. The wireless internet did not reach into either of our rooms, we have to go to the common room of the unit to get connected.

I liked the bungalow-type design, 3 bedrooms with its own kitchen and cosy living room, and balcony. Very friendly staff. If unlucky, teenage-backpackers, obviously drunk, no respect for other guests sleeping, are shouting and yelling in the middle of the night. I guess this can happen anywhere but I wish the hotel/lodge would take more action against them.

Great price for location, clean, staff were really nice and helpful. Kitchen well equipped. Would stay again for sure. Our cabin and the surrounding ones needed some tlc...the one next door looked like some one had driven into it! Lock on the bathroom was broken too.

Good location, room was clean, staff were very friendly Ad was misleading. The bedroom does not contain a tv or private patio. These are shared between everyone staying in the house.

Proximity to the town and the budget prices. Inclined to be a little noisy with parties after 10.00pm and squeaky floors. No bed side tables with lights.

We had a roomy cabin to ourselves, the lounge was large enough to have friends around. The bathroom was newly refurbished and was very nice. It was basic, good value accommodation close to town with great views of the mountains. The second bedroom was too small. They needed to have some wine glasses and microwave cookware supplied.

Friendly staff Accommodation well and truly overdue for upgrade. 16 beds to one bathroom with toilet within is ridiculous. Crappy old kitchen.. Well below the standard expected of nz backpackers and not value for money.
