The worst place i ever checked in . Too noisy and the bed room was too small u cant even open ur arms with out even touch the wall ... The wall was so dirty looks like a fog cannels .. The bed was horrible including the carpet ... So bad ... The worst place i ever checked in
Location was great and staff were awesome. Definitely great price for accommodation.
Sleep was poor due to the noise of surrounding rooms/buildings - but to be expected on a Friday night in Queenstown!
Double room for a good price, large common area that is not shared with too many other people. Nice warm room. Good price.
no wifi in the rooms, not as central location
The stay was very comfortable. The lounge was very convenient to use. No issue with toilet sharing.
Good WIFI connection is only at the hub. No WIFI connection in the room.
Close to Queenstown (5 min walk)
WiFi reception was sporadic at outer edges of the facilities. Good reception at central (HUB).
Kitchen area common but clean Ok for large group of young people Price 10 min walk to yhe centre
Noise from long term residents One toilet for three rooms in the chalet, Very noisy cleaning staff (came in at 9 put on radio full volume while cleaning) One morning we were woken up by a man saying he has to change the lock in our room, we werent even given chance to put on clothes and go, to his credit he was mortified obviously he was told by his supervisors to do it without waiting for us to get up... We stayed in a room where one window was looking onto parking and the other onto side if the hill and some other chalet front where people seemed to be drinking outside all day. I do not recommend this accomodation, it is cheap, and if you have to go on, but its very damp, noisy not private, wifi not working anywhere even in the reception
Location and the ski Holiday spirit
Cold room even with the heater
Short distance to the gondola.
Extremely cold. The heater did not heat up the room at all. The smell was nasty. There weren't any hangers in the room or bathroom. Overall: dirty and old
loved the spa and the inhouse pizza
The whole stay
The first night we got there, the room we were allocated had not been cleaned. We were given another room which was cleaned, and given two complimentary spas which elevated the problem. Discount on another stay would seal the deal.
Rambling, homely, old world accommodation. Really enjoyed our stay.
If you're looking for anything above average then you go somewhere else and delvge into your wallet, this is Queenstown after all. We stayed in a double bedroom in a building with three other double rooms and shared kitchen and bathroom facilities between the rooms. Absolutely ideal for the price. Zero noise and zero queues.
There was a little mix up when we were waiting to get checked in but the staff soon had sorted. Just a little bit of miscommunication between different staff taking in bookings.
Very friendly at help desk, always on hand to help with bookings/directions.
The housing block and room can be quite cold but heater's are provided. Wifi signal also poor but office has pc's you can use.
Price. All facilities available so for an overnight stop ideal. About a 10 minute walk down into the town.
We hv spent 2 nights in this hotel. It was great close to shops nice and worm with all basic needs
location, cleaness of bedroom
The shared kitchen was very dirty. Gas cooking had never worked properly and there were only one very small pan and a very big pot to use. The shower water was either extremely hot, or extremely cold, and two out of three showers did not work properly. It was the worst backpacking experience I had in NZ
Good if on a budget.
Free wifi did not work, oil heaters in room dirty and dangerous, unit very tired and needs a refit.
I was lucky to be upgraded to a double room with ensuite and found it comfortable, quiet & warm even though it was July - I didnt need to use the heater at all. The communal kitchen was clean with everything needed for cooking meals. There was a supermarket, and deli nearby so getting food when I didnt want to eat out was easy. All in all, it was fine for what I needed, 10 mins walk to town, and near to the Gondola!
beautiful view from lounge room window. awesome hot shower reasonably priced
Very noisy very large group of young people screaming/swearing/yelling every night. Very lumpy, old, used pilllows heaters were old and broken. towels were not replaced daily or every other day
spacious room Very clean Good service, friendly staff
Heater not working well
Easy to get to from airport and fairly cheap
We were a group of four, only got two towels. I asked a staff for two more and was told they would bring them over and never did. Shared area was very cold, hot water fluctuated between hot and cold so it was hard to do dishes.
large accommodation cluster, 15 minutes walk from the town centre. backpackers rooms are good value for money.
a little bit too far from the town
Nice clean, well equiped kitchens and lounge that we shared with others. We appreciated been able to leave our gear in the storeroom til we could come back later to check-in,even let us put some perishables in the staff fridge.
Not so keen on sharing showers and toilets with different gender, maybe a dividing wall would help. Needed more warm bedding.
Availability, close to town and attractions, cost, the 'Hub', very friendly helpful staff, spa - hey its our 4th time here and we'll be back for more. Also WOMouth travels and others have also followed our lead - recommended.
Having to move rooms was a nuisance, but others had booked before us for the room we started in. Our problem we didn't say at the time but the spa was a little too hot and we melted in 10 min ! hoping to last 20 min next time... Luck of the draw if fellow 'lodgers' keep the communal kitchen/dining areas clean also - so we did our 'motherly' cleanup to a small degree to feel more comfortable.
