Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had a studio room which was very clean and spacious. A great central location and quiet. Bed was a bit disappointing as it was a bit small - with roll together.

The staff were very warm and friendly and my four year old daughter described the bathroom as sparkly and clean which is very rare because she won't even go in a public toilet. Very clean and fresh facilities. The best I've ever stayed in and I have stayed in many!!!

Very friendly and helpful service. Rooms were large and comfortable. Took the time to tell us about local sites to visit, where to shop and took an interest in our tour of NZ. Happy to help in any way possible.

We loved our stay at Portmans. The rooms were clean and very modern. It is central to everything in Hastings. Best of all the hospitality was wonderful, made us feel very welcome and we'd love to stay there again. We were in a disability room which had a disability shower, it wasn't a very romantic getaway in that respect.

Location to Opera House where conference was. Efficient service. I didn't order breakfast for the second day but it was delivered to my room, I asked for it to not be charged to my account.
