Pounamu Apartments    

The view from our apartment was amazing. The apartment was well laid out and very comfortable. Undercover parking was most welcome. The staff were very helpful.

Having to use the two flights of stairs from the carpark to our apartment. Very difficult if weather is not condusive. Did not appreciate payment being taken immediately we made the booking - several weeks before our trip.

The apartment is so cozy and trendy! Love everything about it!!

Spacious well appointed apartment

Quite a walk into town.

The staff was super friendly and always obliged to cater to our needs.

The studio apartment has no privacy because the walkway is alongside the bedroom and we always had to keep the blinds closed.

The 2 bed apartments were lovely and spacious and well set out. It would have been nice to stay longer

Priscilla and the entire staff I had contact with were extremely helpful and courteous. Modern and very clean decor. Great views of the lake and mountains.

The refrig made a continual rattling noise that was bothersome but it wouldn't keep me from staying here again.

Good design and well laid out. Everything we needed

Was a bit noisy on Saturday night with people coming and going on stairs. Being in back bedroom and apartment by stair.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pounamu. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and it was beautiful and very comfortable. We loved that it had its own laundry facilities, computer, fax etc. and the fire place was a really nice touch.

Its a walk from town, going down isn't so bad but coming up can be challenging if you have lots to carry.

All the comforts of home plus the great fireplace which we used in the evenings. Laundry and computer for guest use. Great views over the lake.

not a major concern - No covered access to apartment from basement carpark - not so good in bad weather.

Overall a very lovely stay, ticked all my boxes

How modern and well setout apartments

Beautiful room, amazing bathroom and we were lucky to have a fabulous view. Bathrobe and slippers for comfort and just perfect for what we needed.

Nothing particulary, was worried about the small space for making drinks and washing up, close to the door in our room but the positives and luxurious feel to the room, made up for anything else

great location , luxury apartment, impeccably clean , well stocked with essentials ,AMAZING view ,SKY tv ,DVD player, comfortable bed.mostly quiet.helpful staff.Would stay here again

everything was perfect about this fantastic apartment except the noise from the bathroom fan of the adjacent apartment would wake us up if turned on during the night. Also some road noise even with the double glazing.Was reluctant to open doors to balcony because of this.

The location is excellent, very helpful business-like staff. The accommodation was and very comfortable. For our needs we would have benefited from a larger table to eat off, and a small micro-wave. Queenstown is a fantastic place and so many sporting activities are offered

superb apartment overlooking the lakes in Queenstown. A leisurely 10-15 minute stroll into the town centre with lake views. Good value for money

Bed comfort

Access by ramp and stepped entrance is not the best but tolerable Shower configuration and pressure inadequate

Great studio room with upscale amenities (heated bathroom floor, heated towel rack, etc.); very comfortable bed; good WiFi; excellent staff!!!

The size of the room was a bit small, but still workable/comfortable for 2 adults.

We had a studio apt without a view but it fit our needs since we did not plan to be in the room much. We did not mind the 10 - 15 minute walk into town because we liked the exercise. The studio was clean and efficient, even though it only had a refrig and microwave, we were able to fix our own breakfast every morning and have snacks & drinks for later. Having the very efficient & modern washer & dryer (including soap) was very useful since we try to travel light. If we had planned to spend more time in our room, we definitely would have booked a lake view room which was fantastic! Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Although when asking about catching the bus shuttle to the airport, we were first told by one young lady that we needed to catch it in town. But after checking again with another young lady at the desk, we were told to catch it right out front of the apts where there was a bus stop. One of them told us it would cost $6/pp but it actually was $8/pp which was still a great deal. Actually, the bus system in Queenstown is great, it actually takes you to several local places and easier & cheaper than renting a car. Unfortunately, we did not realize that until the end of our time there. If we had known sooner, we would have taken it to visit Arrowtown which people had told us was a charming place to visit but we didn't want to rent a car.

The only thing we were really disappointed by was we didn't realize that the televisions in the apartments did not get the Sports 3 channel so we were unable to watch the Australian Open Tennis matches in our room. We had to go into town and watch it at a bar or restaurant which was inconvenient.

Great place to stay! Exceptional view.

Pounamu Apartments had everything that a young family needed. The staff were friendly, apartment was very clean and services were fantastic, not to mention the view! We would not hesitate in recommending Pounamu to anyone.
