Price per night. Location.
Staff. Facilities not working/down. Uncomfortable bed.
great view from room spacious room
rooms need some upgrade, such as carpets and furniture.
Great location. Spacious. Adaquate rooms.Good value for money for Rotorua.
Lack of atomosphere. Luke warm service.
Quite with good comfort
Hard getting in and out of shower over bath need hand rail too hang onto
Location to the thermal area
Receptionist could try to smile
Fair price and nice location, lovely view.
Was traveling alone and the locks in the door and the balcony (stayed at first floor) were not very secure, also there is nobody at the reception over night and the whole hotel was almost empty so did not always feel safe at all.
The view from my balcony of the geyser and bubbling mud was one of the best hotel views I have ever seen, also really good value for money.
The mould on the shower head and the antiquated interior design.
The view, the price, the location for the activity I was there for. yes, the decor is dated and there are only 3 tv channels, but if the decor was renewed and the hotel had Sky the price would be a lot more. The view was the best I have ever seen from any hotel and was worth the price for that alone. Quite frankly I cannot understand why others have moaned about the place, it was worth every cent.
The lift doors were vicious
Staff made every effort to be helpful Location excellent. Will stay again
Buildings are very run down Spa pool does not operate. Only breakfast available. Expected a restaurant and dining facilities.
poor facilities and the staff forgot our breakfast
fantastic helpful friendly staff, great view, warm room ,all good
spotlessly clean room the view of the geyser
plunge pools not working very old tired building restaurant closed
The view was magnificent. The rooms were clean and staff polite, friendly and helpful. The meals were also very good - the room came with a continental breakfast but you could upgrade to a full cooked breakfast for $5 per person.
The phone and clock radio did not work. There was only three television channels. The needed to be two big chairs or a couch in the room or the other person had to sit on the bed to be comfortable. There were only cups or glasses and only 1 teaspoon in the room so you had nothing to be able to eat off. There were services advertised that were not available - spa and evening meals.
We got a super deal which was about half the price of any other place I had looked at. We were looking for cheap accommodation with beds for 3 adults. Travelling with a 82 yr old you also need good bathroom facilties. Our room was warm and had an amazing view. Although everything is a bit worn it was very clean. Great car parking too.
Hotel is a bit rundown. Lack of proper maintenance
It was a horrible experience, we will never book here again. At least it was cheap, but next time I'll go for something more human.
- old furniture - uncomfortable bed - rude hosts - electronics not working - noisy - smelly - bathroom not sanitized properly - mold everywhere
Great place to stay with amazing views.
Room was okay
Like an old fashioned holiday park No facilities. None of the amenities were not working Staff appeared uninterested.
Loved the area would definitely go back
The location was excellent. Our American couple were astounded with the view from their bedroom. We choose the evening "Te Puia Cultural show". was an easy walk and an excellent show with an evening viewing of the Pohutu Geyser
An old but lovely Hotel.
Pam was helpful
View, the price paid was fair to what I received
beds could see the dip in bed and only 3 channels working on tv, was tired looking.
The view starting from the second floor is amazing. I love the geyser.
on the second day, they put us on a room "view" in the first floor. There is no view at all from there....
