The size of the room was impressive. It was also very laid-back there, with everyone -staff, residents and locals- being very friendly and enjoyable company. When we booked it there was a discount going so we got it at an incredibly cheap price. For what we were paying, we were expecting a much lower quality. Also, when we arrived at auckland we simply rang them (for free off the provided phones) and they sent a shuttle bus immediately to pick us up. We also gave them the time of our departure and they arranged everything to get us there right on time, it was almost too easy.

I liked the fact that it is close to auckland airport... So perfect for our one night stopover going into and out of new zealand. It has a bus to pick up and drop off at airport too. We were really hungry when we arrived at the hotel after out travels. The dinner we had there was delicious and well priced. We had our own wine so ate in our room as the restaurant is licensed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is dated, but I think the price of the room more than makes up for that.

It was close to the airport. The drivers from and to the airport was very friendly and helpful.

When we arrived, the lady at reception could have been friendly and more helpful. All guests should be informed to have total silence as soon as they open their doors in the corridor and not have any further conversation with anybody inside a room, specially after 10 am.

Friendliness of staff. Airport courtesy bus. Good food at reasonable prices.

There were noisy travellers going on a tour bus early in the morning.

Location to airport. Free airport shuttle.

Not much to like other than price, location and free shuttle. The room was old, small and loud. The bed was of poor quality. The television only received 3 channels. The location left nothing within walking distance.

It is little small bed for two adult, ( double bed sides)

Spacious room, a little worn in places but well equipped and convenient.

Close to the airport. Somewhat adequate service, from some staff, but total shit from others like attempting to honor our breakfast booking simply thru laziness and incompetence.

Lack of directions (brochures) to various locations in spite of being out of the way. Being so close to the airport should mirror the airport in terms of info for getting around!

My adult son and I were there for the rugby world cup and though the hotel was rather tired and could do with a make over the staff made up for that with their friendliness and helpful attitudes

All of the staff with one exception were excellent - the exception was the person who collected us from the airport (at 12.30a.M.) - he was most unfriendly and not at all helpful - acted as if we were nothing but a pain in the butt. It was not our fault that we arrived late in the evening - it was the schedule. By comparison the man who took us back in the morning was excellent and helpful.

Rooms were clean and service was good.

Bed was a bit small, but still OK.
