Very helpful and friendly staff.
Kitchen could have a few more utensils - just a 15cm pot is not an 'equipped kitchen'
- good location quite central in Auckland (5-10 min walk to sea side and great restaurants) - great service checking in after hours - comfortable bed - perfect for doing laundry (they even provided a frame to hang our cloths to dry)
- kitchen (in our studio) not really suited for cooking, very small, old worn and limited equipment - couldn't open a window, so after cooking the whole appartment smelled like food (put our cloths in the bathroom and opened the hallway door for ventilation)
staff very nice and helpful... I am extremly empreesed
it feels a bit unsafe outside the building. Also, my queen bed was a 2 single put together with a very soft mattress
The bed was very comfortable. Each day the room was beautifully cleaned.
The space, the bedroom, the kitchen was well stocked
The washing machine, it didn't work, the fact there was no balcony and also no gym or pool facilities,
Staff could not direct us well to the car park - was not very helpful when it was hard to find in the rain, the dark and rush hour traffic!
Spacious rooms and reasonably quiet Comfortable beds. Handy location to theatres
The shower was good but nowhere to put the soap. The lighting for reading in bed was very poor
Despite being advertised on the web, there was no charge back service with any local restaurants. Tea and coffee supplied but no milk (only powdered creamer which is disgusting in tea). Power points in kitchen were poorly sited (have to drag kettle cord over hot plate). The fry pan was pitted and clearly shedding Teflon - not nice! Cleanliness was marginal - when we arrived there was blood on the bathroom door(which we wiped off, so it should not have hard to clean), TV's were dusty as was the fridge. The bathroom grate was not fixed in the floor and kept dislodging actually cutting the foot of my travelling companion. One of the bedsides still had what appeared to be the remains of a price sticker on it (which could be scratched off with a fingernail - once again, not hard to fix). We felt there was no attention to detail. The lift also broke down which meant a walk up 9 flights of stairs, in very dim light, to get to our 4th floor room. Would never stay there again as one night we had a phone call from outside at 1.30am - twice! Whoever was trying to ring was most insistent that they had not dialled our room number - and they did not sound drunk or aggressive, so suspect the phone connections were not correctly labelled. We wanted to use the internet service provided to check further holiday bookings and this would not work to start with and then when it did it was like using dial up! Can't understand how this accommodation gets a 8.0 rating!
The staff were amazing and so friendly.
Friendly staff. On site parking
Spacious rooms Lovely staff Great location
It was great. Would have quite liked a few more tea, coffee and sugar sachets in room.
Overall happy with experience, would definitely consider again
Parking was tight Not enough pillows for the bed and only two towels supplied, would have preferred four of each.
studio apartment a great option for independent travelers with kitchenette and laundry in the room.
I had planned to pay for the hotel stay in cash On my day of arrival the hotel automatically charged my amex and hit me with the surcharge which they did not tell me till i was leaving and after i had withdrawn the money . i expected them to refund amex and take cash but this was not even offered. when the hotel was found and booked it included free wi fi . when i arrived the front desk stated change of policy and they wanted to charge me . this i felt was a breach of contract - it was only after another receptionist organised this
poor level of cleanliness -found previous guests dinner still in the microwave, despite complaining about the overall housekeeping the day before
Awesome value and location
The spacious room
The room was beautiful and clean. The location was fantastic as it was straight across from Sky City Casino and in the centre of Auckland. An easy walk to Queen Street.
Had problems with the cards and doors. My partner had to continuously go to reception to get the cards reset. 2% surcharge on Visa use.
Very nice comfortable studio apartment and very helpful staff. Located near to Sky Tower and the centre of town. Small supermarkets nearby.
No free wifi - costs $15 per day. Quite a distance from a large supermarket.
Good size room, very good location (especially because I needed to go to Skycity almost everyday for business purposes). Clean and tidy. Close to convenient stores, Subway, and walking distance to Queen St.
On my booking, it was written that the hotel has free Wifi. When I asked the staff, they told me they don't have free Wifi but they only provide 1 computer in the lobby which we can use (however this computer is extremely slow, even to load one page on the internet takes 2 minutes). I think the information is very misleading - should not be saying the hotel has "free wifi" when it doesn't.
Location. Quiet. Reasonable value for money
Broken curtain - reported but not fixed 3 days later. Charged for internet access, even though stated as free in the booking. When pointed out, claimed that they had explained this to me on arrival (which they had not). Declined to reimburse costs.
Hotel in a good location, close to the central bus station, information center
Reception is only open until 8 pm
Location, accommodating staff especially to the duty manager (filipino lady) who was very helpful. Spacious.
Overpriced. I was quite dissapointed with the room considering the price I paid. The pillows stink, furnitures old & tired.
The rooms were nice and warm when we arrived. It looked inviting. The staff were also very polite and friendly.
The windows needed to be cleaned on the inside and I'm not sure why there were plastic bags covering the smoke alarms.
The location was great, right outside Sky City and not far from the Wynyard Quarter. Kitchenette was brand new, and bathroom had an excellent shower (big cubicle and amazing water pressure & temperature). Bed was firm but comfortable.
Windows were pretty old and let a lot of noise in from the main road outside. There were additional duvets for use, but they didn't have covers on which was a little odd. Parking was $25 a day which is quite expensive, and as I was on a motorbike I was given a tiny space by the sewage/drainage pipes which wasn't exactly pleasant considering the price and the other empty spaces not so cramped. (Don't accept Space number 1 if you can help it).
