Ran out of hot water in the shower after 10 minutes. Warning about how small the car park was would have been good as it was very hard to get the truck in the available parking space
location excellent - just across the road is a building with an elevator down to Lambton Quay which saved a lot of walking.
The steps in the rooms - all the rooms have at least one step. Potentially a hazard for elderly or those a little less steady on their feet.
The banging and whistling of windows due to broken locks.Drapes didnt pull together letting light in. Squeaky floorboards, need nailing. poor selection of tea and coffee and lack of milk. Overpriced for quality of room.
Terrible service, the worst I have ever encountered anywhere! Extremely rude from arrival, and we were left waiting while the married owners bickered with each other behind the desk. The man expressly told us the car park was free then took money out of my account for it (without consent or agreement) once we had left the hotel and checked out. Not only this but the money he withdrew he actually purposefully overcharged. He rung me once we had checked out and said the car park wasn't actually free but was 20 per but night, yet took out 35 per night! Was very slow and rude about the refund of the extra 15 too and am still waiting for a copy of the imaginary contract I signed about paying for parking which I was promised (when we were definitely told was free). It isn't the situation or paying that disgusted me but his lying and how he treated us afterwards. Also smelt terrible - the room and the hallways had a horrible smell. The room was also nothing like the pictures so beware. The bed was 2 singles pushed together with big gap in between instead of a double and the gap was so bad we had to separate them. I am not usually one to complain but I would not suggest this place and the terrible service to my worst enemy.
The room is well equipped with home electric appliances.
Location was good. Female staff helpful. On site secure parking.
Fan and heater in bathroom didn't work. Heater in lounge made such a racket we turned it off in case it blew up.
Location was perfect and bed comfortable
Very noisy motorway behind room.no double glazing to quieten it
The location very central. The room service was good.
Property very 'tired'. Our apt overlooked the motorway and was very noisy. There was scaffolding outside our window
washing machine and dryer :) modern
very hot in 2nd bedroom
Room was tiny, 2 single beds, no sofa, 1 chair, tiny table with 2 chairs. No room to prepare food and have someone sit at the table!! Washer/dryer is extremely loud. No street parking, $20 a night to park in apartment block. Poor wifi connection.
The traffic noise from the motorway. Lack of parking at a reasonable price.
No information of local area or fire/earth quake safety/procedure Very noisy 2nd bed very uncomfortable (tressel) and unsuitable for senior person, charged for credit card when paying with debit would not recommend
Motorway noise Wifi connection
Close to business venue and eating establishments.
Second bedroom very small, would have preferred two double beds.
From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed. Traveling solo can be wonderous and a challenge. The staff were service orientented, patient, informative and kind. Highly recommended.
The unfortunate situation where, despite The Quest cancelling the transaction immediately on my card, the bank refused to release the funds. This took a day and a half to sort, it was frustrating however it does not change my opinion of my stay. Thank tou
Location was terrific. The price for a family was good.
Being double charged for the room, hassle in getting reimbursed and no apology. The scaffolding directly outside impeding the view. The poor light that came into the room. The different levels in the room. The constrictive main bedroom and unexpected single in the other.
Location convenient access
The location and ease of checkin checkout was good.
I was on the 1st floor and there was a very unpleasant odour when I left the lift through and including the room.
Car park space was horrible, not worth paying for it
I would not stay there again. The room I had was looking straight into a flat where we could all see what each other were doing, no privacy. If there was a blind on the window it would help. I found the reception staff most unhelpful and on particular the chap in charge. He was arrogant and difficult to deal with. I had requested at the time of booking the room to check in early as I was arriving at 8 am and needed to get ready for a function. When I arrived on the day this chap was rude and difficult and said that check in time was 2pm. I had given them a weeks notice to make provisions for this request. I found this very poor form on his part. Never have I encountered this treatment. They can hardly speak proper English so you struggle to understand them. I asked to speak with the manager and the rude chap on reception said he was the manager. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. There was a shelf in the wardrobe broken and not replaced. The apartment itself is tired and smells musky. Overall it wasn't a place to relax. I definitely will never stay there again. It's overpriced for what you get. No view and dreadful service from a arrogant manager.
The manager was rude and arrogant. The room was dark and looked into a flat of blokes. No privacy atall. Stuff in the room not working properly.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Overall the facilities were very clean but some walls above the shower and in the lounge area could do with a good clean.
Our apartment was too close to the motorway. The single bedroom was very small. There were only 4 hangers in the wardrobe and no drawer space.
Stained Bedspread and a hole in it. This should never been used. A rubbish bin in the kitchen was broken, mentioned this to the cleaner and nothing was done about it. The apartment was only surface cleaned. It needs a good clean.
The hospitality in a reserved 'not in your face' but very pleasant kind of way. The spaciousness of the apartments. As long as the life access is available, I liked that ease of getting around which made the apartments less out of the way.
The lack of air conditioning, and as the windows can't be open due to the noise of the motorway off and on ramp, one is forced to sleep in too warm an environment. The public areas are in need of refurbishment and this is probably not the responsibility of the managers.
Location, staff on the front desk and parking
