Rainbow Motel  

Annand Bob go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The private hot water baths are great, and the accommodation comfortable. We stayed here because it was just great value for money.

Very kind owner, he help me a lot. Nice spa pools, very good location for trout fishing. I like to stay this motel again.

The owners were as friendly as family, adding to the splendor of the countryside and the comforting waters of the private hot spring spas.

There was an unpleasantly loud clicking noise in the middle of the night (1 AM) which I think came from the electrics for the refrigerator.

Very friendly owners, helpful and generous. For example, found me a lemon (for the g and t) and gave us a nice big bottle of ice for our food box. The hot pool was great and available day and night

That it was only a 40 min casual trip to Taupo. Great customer service. We were asked if we wanted to use the mineral pools even as we had checked out. They were in no hurry for our 10am and you have to be out! We were offered deck chairs as they knew we were going to sitting down at a concert most of the day. Can't say enough about the customer service. Yes, the facilites can be classed as old fashioned, but that in itself is a delight

Very Friendly owners. Our group arrived on Motorbikes. The Owners offered their Wagon to take to another town down the road to get Fish & Chips, Wine and Beer. Hows that... Would stay there again...

The decor of the rooms where great and the service that we received was brilliant the children loved the pool- we had a great time and have already recommended this motel to others.

It is clean and comfortable and the Lamberts are very attentive and helpful.

It was very convenient from a location perspective. The staff adapted the room to meet our needs. Cleany, tidy facilities, and most importantly, warm!

We struggled to get the tv going! A few hot chocolate sachets would have been great.

The accommodation was a bit old-fashioned, but this didn't matter in the slightest as it was spotlessly clean and very tidy. It was great value for money and I was very appreciative that the electric blankets had been turned on ready for our arrival late on a frosty night! The unit included central heating, freeview TV and kitchen facilities. There was even a jug of milk left in the fridge for us. Thanks so much to Ann and Bob for a lovely stay.

vétuste, il aurait besoin d'un bon rafraîchissement en profondeur mais pour le prix on peut guère demandé mieux...

The people running it were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Very approachable people. Even lent us an umbrella each as it was raining, and we were up there to attend a Tangi (Maori funeral)

Comfortable bed

This motel is in an urgent need of updating, the furniture looks like it has come from a second hand shop, no comfortable chairs to sit on and the dining table and chairs would be about a 1960 model. Bugs stuck to the roof in shower, no shower mixer.The $145 paid on arrival was obviously because if we had seen the motel first we would have walked out. This was the most expensive motel we stayed in while passing through Rotorua and Turangi for 3 nights and was like staying in a bach. The photos on the website do not show how tired this motel is.

The owners were very nice and helpful. It was close to where we were heading. The kids loved the spa's.

The double bed was a bit hard.
